I feel bad for all the folks that thought they were getting over, and are now stuck with a pet they can't call.

I think the devs should at least give the option of having it re-deeded to something more realistic. Like they did with the nonCH pets last publish. At least that way folks will have a cute bunny to play with...

And yes, I am a BE, and I haven't sold any uber pets. I just didn't want to deal with the hassle when they were all nerfed...

I'm sorry, but you can't say that you REALLY thought that your CL10 Vir Vur with light armor, 50% resists, 15K HAM, and 250 damage was a viable creature, did you?

right on there... it was not listed as a bug.. how the hell are we supposed to know wherethe line for legit and exploted pets were.. pretty much every bio engineer in existance "exploited" this one by simply being a bio engineer.. I know I did.. going to get messages about my lvl 10 pets with 4k Ham made from mountain dewbacks and rock beetles. and some other combos I had.. stayed well clear of the Kamuriths. it was acknowledged that those were bugged.

and your saying stop complaining.... we say give us info.... we never get answered. especially by a DEV. anything we find out is usualy on our own..

well then what is the line hmm.... yes you can point out an obvious exploit.. the lvl 10 8k HAM and high resists... yeah thats in teh exploited category. but

WHERE is the LINE !!! come on tell us.... you say we exploit... by whos rules.... yours ? SOE's ? apparently we do but WHERE IS THE LINE !!! ......... I'M not wasting any more breath on hard headed/ ignorant people who dont even look at what is going on before they say "shut the **edit** up" ....

Well I got a ton of non-uber CL10 pets made invalid. The stats did not lok out of line, they didn't have great resists and did have vulnerabilities and what looked like normal damage, attack, etc... the only stst that was slightly high was the health bar at 3-5k. Personally I did not think I was exploiting nor did I have ttttthe slightest idea these pets would be nerfed. I was under the impression that BE's were supposed to be able to tailor pets to be better than the wild ones and IMHO these were just that.. just a bit better than their wild counterparts.

This patch affected a lot more people than those who were making the obviously bugged uber pets, as a matter of fact I am guessing that even most of the BE's who were adamantly against building uber pets and did their best to avoid itended up with a vendorand customers full of invalid pets.

Most of the pets I've been creating for the non-ch market have been between 5-8kish health - so so action - and dumb as a box of rocks. Very few of them go above 120-140 damage. 20-24% resists in just a few areas - with about as many vunerable spots.

forgive me if I thought these might be 'legitimate' range animals - given I've seen screens of 10k and over pets with hella resists and damage.

I actually didn't do anything with pets the first week this was released, but logging on into tell hell - I thought what the hell, I'll stay away from kamurith DNA and stock the **edit** vendor.

I don't appreciate people that accuse me and my profession on knowingly pawning off things we KNEW were bugged. I did everything in my power to NOT do that.

The line is right where BEs started charging 80-100k for an uber-pet.

See thats the thing.. thanks for coming here and knowing half the story.

Yes they should have taken care of bugged DNA pets. I wholehartedly agree with that. We all felt it was an exploit and it should have been dealt with.

But, they also went and made pets that were made with supposedly nonbugged DNA..from Rancors, arachne and such also invalid.. because they now feel they are too powerfull.

I did not exploit with any Nocous DNA, I did not use bugged methods to raise stats. They just went and redefined the definition of what was acceptable for me to make in normal ways.

That is what most BE's are complaining about.. not that they took away the bugged non-ch pets.

you dont get it at all................................................... I dont even know what I bother.. price is up to me.. and what you are willing to pay... that has nothign to do with this...

please tell me a normal cl 10 creature is... one that is acceptable by standards of better than wild. but oh... not tooooo powerful....... what about this.. and this, and this and this and this.... where do you draw the poit of too powerfull and a weakling.. what teh defination of an uber pet... yeah you can give an example. but no rock solid definition.. I know about the "uber cl 10 pet" but where do you draw the line between **edit** good and exploited... you cant tell me..... because know one knows... I doubt even the devs know.... they certainly have not told us... go ask them... bet they cant tell you..

yes i'm ranting.. and getting flamed for it.. but you just dont understand. there is no system in place that we know of to have 100% accuracy to determind creature combat level. based on health action mind, armor, kinetic/ energy/heat/cold/acid/stun resists. attack damage, attack speed, hit rating, specials, ranged attack, attack damage... its not set in stone... teh devs have 1 but even it doesn't work perfectly. some of us were able to see where it was a bit fuzzy and even way into overpowerd. but

WHERE IS THE LINE BETWEEN WHAT IS TOO POWERFULL AND WHAT IS NOT. Price has nothing to do with this. I want a fine line with exact details on what is and is not too powerfull. not examples.. I can pull out examples all day if I have to.

One can not exploit an undocumented system where no one knows how it is suppose to correctly work. Everyone knew some things were out of wack, but no one could say how far out of wack. The CL10 uber pets were clearly wrong, and those that made them and sold them will get what they deserver as those that bought them knowing what they were getting wasn't in line with the current system.

The problem comes into the gray area between exploit and legit. I have 3 gurrcats with very similar stats. Two are level 23, one is level 19. All made in similar ways. The level 19 one can not be called now, but the level 23s can. The level 23s are still clearly better than what is in the wild. Others have some pets that are at the same level as mine, but lower stats and can not call them. The fix is clearly wrong, but no one knows why it is wrong because there is no documentation.

Guess I take a break for now until things settle out. I doubt we will get that documentation we need.

The line is there. It is discussed in the rules and policies.

Here is the direct quote: "12. You will not exploit any bug in Star Wars Galaxies, and you will not communicate the existence of any such exploitable bug either directly or through public posting, to any other Sony Station member. You will promptly report such bugs via the /bug command in-game or by emailing [email protected]. Exploitable bugs include, but are not limited to bugs that grant the user unnatural or unintended benefits in-game. "

That pretty much sums it up. So, like others have said, It's not the mass of people utilizing it, it's the select few that chose to abuse the system made it bad for everyone. I personally would not be upset if anyone who did abuse this known bug was banned entirely. It's simple, if you break the rules you will get caught and punished.

Wish everyone who cant call out a few level 15+ pets out but can call out other simular 15+ pets could answer a simple question. Was the one you cant call out made with 2nd genor further DNA? cause maybe thats the new nerf, goodbye resampling.

Ok ive reread your post 3 times now and i cant find the "legal HaM/Armor/Resist to Creature Level" ratio anywhere, fine print? This quite important as im going to be checking my level 64 kimo when i get in tonight and i wanna make sure hes not illegal.
