Everyone here that disaggrees with me really needs to go read the pub 21 notes and the CH forum. Everything has changed. Simply getting a CL10 BE deed won't get you a mount. A CH has to go out, level the pet and train the pet, most likely with fleet footed L3. It used to be convinient to have a BE deed to make a CL10 mount. In fact the BE monts were desired because they had excellent stats. Now wild tamed mounts with extra skills are what will be desired. That means a lot of wild tamed mountable CL10s without a native skill. There will be plenty of wild mounts.Taming itself is a small amount of work required for these pets now. I don't see the huge market or demand for a BE CL10 mountable pet deed.

Now the CL70s are a completely different story. There aren't many CL70 wild animals to choose from and the BE pets are valued for their extra damage and health. That is where the value of BE pets is at. Animals too big to be used in any practical sense don't help us. The elite pets are gone, so it is the BE pets that will be desired now. Maybe my fellow BEs need glasses to help them with any shortsightedness. CL10 mounts aren't much of an issue right now, getting usable CL70s is, for both BE and CH. There are two professions at stake here.

and that's why this is a QUALITATIVE problem. plenty of folks LIKE the big pets... PLENTY. there are skins that don't get huge... 'big' isn't a given at CL70. since the skin ONLY affects min CL and the range of the size of the pet, there is nothing to prevent a player from using a moderately sized CL70 pet. cats aren't faster anymore. all skins are the same, except for cosmetic differences. if a skin is too big, there is another skin that ISN'T.

I'm not pleased with the oddities of CL clone sizing... but again, just because some skins are too big for your liking, that doesn't mean that there aren't MANY players thrilled by the sizes.

I've raised the issue with the devs... but saying that nonCH pets don't matter, mounts in particular, ignores the opinions of MANY players regarding a QUANTITATIVE problem with the system.

Making pets smaller isn't what I am saying if you read what I wrote. I said we (BEs) should have some say in pet size, not just skin/CL, so we could have an average sized cat or a big CL10 CuPa for a wookiee.

Saying we just want CL10 mounts to be fixed is selling short, and pub 21 just made that stock go way up. I feel we just lost out. Hopefully they will understand the full scope of the problem even if that problem wasn't presented well and we get a comprehesive fix to the whole problem. We onced vaguely stated the pets don't change with CL and there should be size differences. Now we have this messed up system. Good communication of the problem is key, especially when they don't listen too well at times.

As a Novice CH to help my BE along, I don't have a problem raising a Non-CH mount (in fact I've learned7 abilities already)and I know enough CHs who would put a saddle on it for me if asked.

As a MCH I am requested not to bring out my huge pets when hunting in groups be it out of the MO, in the DWB, on the corvette, etc. Size is perceived as a problem to many non CH players.

Granting the BE the ability to control size, even by a sliding scale or choice of sizes(small, medium, normal, above average, large) would be a boost for business as would the ability to craft in an addition learning slot/spot.Since it's not viable for us toadd anability,if we could randomly add a learning slot (much like tailor sockets) that would increase business as well. Let it be a dice roll and be learned in the master box.

Lots of people have problems with pets being in groups. Even smaller pets can get in the way of targeting something. CHes generally don't realize this because they already have the thing targeted to sic the pet on to it. So the smaller the pet, the better others will accept a CH into the group. Big pets are strictly for show or solo work.

With the CH changes pets just might, maybe, become a viable combat option. BE pets will be a very important part of CHes since we can make a whide veriaty of CL70s. So getting this pet size problem fixed is important to not only BEs but CHes as well. I can't help but feel the mark was poorly missed on this and the problem wasn't properly represented.

Excellent suggestion for the BE crafting - it would truly appeal to me as MCH to buy a cat which had that extra socket AND you could guarantee me a size I WANT to work with. Yes, my alt has made me a level 70 cat - and I won't use it. I am not welcome in a group with it. I also have a level 70 kima - its the right size, but we all go aaaahhhh - sweet! It has a cartoony look and a Disney endearance. Not what a tough, combat CH who wants to be taken seriously wants really

So this size thing is a true issue in so many ways. Yes, some players want the massive pets - that why they went out taming and keeping Faambas, but others really don't want this - and I am one.
