Thread: level 35 with 60% kinetic
these are <CL35, with 59% kinetic for PvE only, but pretty darn good if I say so myself.

First thing to do is go to SWGCreatures.com.
You can do a search and find all the armored pets, RES, and specials. Find out the combo you're going to use and then it is just a matter of finding them.
I made a few armored CL34/35 pets with different specials by using BMB dna in the first 2, F. Graul in mental (to loose pesky ranged) then play around with the psy and agress (special 1/2 slots).
Also remember that mental and psy only make up 10% combined fort (armor). dont need to have armored pets go into those to areas if you have otherwise good fort in the remaining 3 ![]()
There so many ways to go about it... One way I do it is to make a "specials creature".
This is a creature that I make with the specials I want. I'll use BMB in the first two, something with no ranged and decent fort in the mental, my choosen special in psy (special 2) and choosen special in agress (special 1). I then exp in the templet in psy, agression, mental (if using ranged in mental and wanting to carry it over). any left overs go in phy, then prowless.
Create, then sample. Put the dna in a marked bag (specials creature)
Then I use two BMB in the first two slots, if not wanting ranged I'll go with frezied/ancient Graul in the third (BMB if I want ranged), then use my specials creature in the last two (special 1 goes in agression and special 2 goes in psy).
**NOTE**
Try and only use VERY HIGH QUALITY for the specials slot (and mental if you want ranged).
Works pretty well for me... lower I want the final cl the less I exp in the agression/psy in the specials creature templet.. this help lower it even further on the final combine.
Didnt sleep yet so if I made typos/am scattered brained please forgive me. If you have any questions feel free to ask

I generally sort my dna out into quality stacks on only use like stacks when I make pets, saving the HQ (not VHQ yet, not master) for last after I've got a feel for what type to put into what slots to get the results I want.
Is using the same quality a good trick or do people get other (good) results when they mix quality?
Ok, I'm going to answer my own question:
After experimenting last night, I came up with 2 ways to get level 35ish pets with max kinetic resists.
1) it's possible to get alevel 34, 10k heath, 390 max damage, armor, 60% kinetic pet in the 1st generation.
using merek harvestors:
MH, MH, ___, ___, MH
fill in the blank with fierce borgles or boar wolfs (level 30ish stuff with high kinetic resists but not armor).
the second special will always be dizzy, and the first special will come from the other pet.
only experiment until fortitude is over 500, then stop = level 34 every time.
(that's the "easy" way - but there's always a Vunerability to Energy)
2) to get energy resists too, I sampled usedBark Mite Burrowers.
Using nothing but BMB dna, I got to level 35 in 2 generations: The first gen comes out level 42 or so, and the second gen turns out level 35 or so.
However, there is very little tolerance for extra experimentation. You pretty much have to get fortitude over 500 and then STOP experimenting, resample, get fortitude over 500, and STOP experimenting again. (maybe 1 point can be spent in aggression or prowess, but that's all.otherwise it peaks up to level 37.)
And, there is very low damage (240 or so) compared to the other method (380 or so).
So, It seems that If I want Energy Resists too, then I have to sacrifice damage.
Disclaimer: This is my first efforts at this. As soon as I figure this out more, I'm sure it will become easier to control things the way I want them to be.
Obviously, there is an "easy" way to get Max Kinetic resists in a level 35 pet using Merek Harvestors.
But, Is there an easier way to get Kinetic & Energy together?

I can continually make level 35 and under AR1, 60% kin, dizzy/Strong Poison pets using a modified recipie I got right of these forums. These are great for duos
Using *almost* the same formula, you can get cl 23 and under 60% kin, dizzy/Strong Poison - no armor. Obviously, great for trios.
While this is nice, without the recipe or the link to where you got it, it doesn't help much. I was able to get low 30s with light armor and decent HAM but haven't managed to pin down a good kinetic resist yet. I used blurrg, roba and screecher stalker dna from Endor last night. Perhaps I should go back to Dath (seems to be Angrier than Endor or Dant) to try.
The reason I didn't post the recipe or link is because I searched and read and sifted to find it. I think others can do the same. It's there, you just have to want to see it enough to look.
Here are my simple recipes for PvE tanks, my customers love them
Merek Harvestor
Merek Harvestor
Cowardly Gurrek or Bollie Bol Colt/Calf
Arachne Warrior
Arachne Warrior
Max out Physique and put a few points into attack. Will turn out CL30-35 AR1 60Kin. CL is dependant upon the attack level, which should be around 300-450 depending on experimentation.
Merek Harvestor
Merek Harvestor
Cowardly Gurrek or Bollie Bol Colt/Calf
Merek Deathhead
Merek Deathhead
Same experimenting. Can get a really high attack with these and strong poison/disease. Usually AR1 50Kin.
Merek Harvestor
Merek Harvestor
Cowardly Gurrek or Bollie Bol Colt/Calf
Venom Filled Arachne
Venom Filled Arachne
Same experimenting. CL17-19 usually. 60Kin with Strong Poison. Great for dabblers and levelers.
Cross breed the first with the last one to get a CL23-25 AR1 60Kin pet with nice specials. Make sure not to experiment into attack if you are trying to lower to get armored triplets.
Eir,
I kind of agree with your "look for it yourself" attitude about (re)posting recipes...
however, the search feature on these forums is often bugged, and always cumbersome.
So, I believe in giving information freely as an investment in good karma.
but that's just me, I make novalue judgements about those who don't do the same.

This wouldn't be nearly so painful to search for is this place had a working holistic search engine or something that didn't return every ... well there's no use complaining about it since nothing positive will come of it.
I want to say thanks for nothing but that doesn't answer the question either so I won't.
I tried somethings last night and found that blurrg, blurrg hunter and arachne warrior (B/B/Bh/B/Aw) got armor but I didn't make any pets out of them yet to see what level they turn out. And I couldn't get the kinetic resist above 45%. The specials were strange so I'm going to have to go back and review what sticks from where to see if I need to rethink my placement.
I did find some Merek Harvesters with *very* nice DNA. I made one from all of that but it turned out to have nice kinetic and armor but no specials whatsoever.

Yup, I generally do AACCA combination to make a low CL armored pet. So long as you put an armored pet into slot 1,2 and 5 then the other into 3,4 you will be fine. The resist will carry over and might offset the low damage.
D'oh. This is why I got four or five templates last night with a fortitude of 450-480. I was putting the armored dna in 1, 2 and 4. Thanks. This is the kind of advice *I* was looking for.
I'm starting to realize that Merek Harvestors make almost anything possible as long as you only care about kinetic resists.
does anyone have a good solution for getting 35ish pets with max Kinetic and Energy?
Like I said before, I was able to come close by resampling bark mite borrowers for 2 or 3 generations, but the damage comes out really low (which is good for "tanks" I suppose)
