Well, the old story goes that Master Dancers have better defenses than Commandos...

Having said that, I really enjoyed commando when I did it, and he already has the pre-reqs for TK, the only profession I have enjoyed/enjoy more than commando for combat. (Obviously my favourite overall profession is BE

)

For someoneseriously short of SPs, you can always just take up the Power line of TK. I was able to solo enraged rancors with only this one line if I didn't take on more than about 3 at a time. (sometimes a little slow to harvest though

)

The meditate line is also a handy line to have for DNA sampling as it lets you meditate off most states including poison and disease.

well keep in mind that I don't participate in pvp so for me cm is basically a very skill point intensive healer who can't rez, buff, or heal states

... but then what kind of "evil doctor" would I be? lol

I had a CM friend who gave it up and went back to Master Doctor. She was of the opinion that it was no longer very effective.

However, in helping to take out turrets with my little pistol in Sith camps in Phase 4 of the village, I really appreciated the ranged healing ability. The CM in the group just stood out of range and gave me heals as fast as she could while I shot.

Sigh, see what master BE's resort to in the FS paths?

I'd love a BE specific quest. I wonder what we could do.

Sample Gorax? Bring back the highest quality DNA we got. A bonus quest for a Dathomir bush that when worn makes us completely invisible to Mutant Rancors unless we aggro them.

Sample a reclusive cavern spider queen? No, too hard. Perhaps just sampling Gorax or an ancient Krayt.

...and as for commandos, I've avoided the "nerf 'nades" threads. Their profession was broken for so long that I honestly don't mind a short path to Padawan. I wish they had done something similar for master smugglers, master rangers, and master creature handlers.
