Thread: Arthur Shatters Dna sampling record

Where ever I go I leave a trail of burning ashes. Hell I even tried to/flamecone 2theDathomir Sarlacc for spittingits filth and diseaseon me numerous occassions when I was running for my life because, it dawns on me in the heat of aggro that I forgot to clone and insure.
Now you have gone and done it. You burned the sarlacc? Now how am I ever going to get DNA from that thing? I figure it must have very high damage, phenomenal resistances, high dependability, but, sadly, only one special: very strong disease.
Oh, well. It probably wouldn't be very good at keeping up with a swoop, either.

Damn...I'm sorry Hylidex. The Dath Sarlaac DNA would likely be quite incredible. I have thrown Gorax shards straight into the mouth of it and watched in awe...as well as a few +80 BSN's that expired on my vendor, an old sandwich and a pair ofcomposite boots that were beyond the threshhold of diminishing returns. I make a deposit there at least once a week

That would explain the liverwurst clog in my needle last time. I had nothing but sampling failures after that.
Seriously, I'm surprised the docs haven't discovered the sarlacc for a healing grind. It seems like it would go faster than tumbling.

Sorry for highjacking your thread Arthur...
I'm too lazy to search for the "You might be a SWG Bio-Engineer if...." thread. However, since we are on the Dath Sarlacc thingy....
You might be a SWG Bio-Engineer if the Dathomir Sarlacc is a permanent WP and not just a POI.
I don't think it was hijacked. You just, uh, broadened it.
/point Bendi_James; It wasn't me. Bendi did it!
/innocent look
/duck (just in case)

it's amazing, I have never counted but i am sure I have been in the 15-20 consecutive failure range on more than one occasion. Can anyone use the camopacks that rangers make? or is it just theirs? I want some dathomir camo packs to use if it is possible.
what about the approach failures? that has to be about a 10% success rate also
Only a ranger can apply them, according to my master scout friend. I have wanted to see how it affects approach mask-breaking and group-aggroing.
If anyone has tried it recently, I'd love to know your results.
Now, if we can do SOMETHING about creatures warping while being sampled...
Someone posted a while back that they got cammoed by a master ranger and that this was very uneffective in terms of concealing from mutant rancors (and then of course once broken, you gotta find that ranger again and re-cammo).
I guess that while rangers can cammo themselves very effectively from MR's, their ability to cammo others is much much less effective.

Bonestein wrote:so would it be worth dropping my fighting skills to pick up ranger skills so I can camo and mask, then I can get hundreds of MR DNA samples, well, as many as my house can hold. so maybe 25 DNA samples
Nope. Takes too much time to get back from the cloning center.

What was particularly remarkable about that streak was that he failed 17 consecutive times on the same rancor without drawing an aggro (but of course he got aggroed and slain on the final attempt). His inventory was 35/50 and he had battle fatigue of 3.After being found lying bloodied and faced down on the field after the final fateful attempt Arhur was quoted as saying: "I did what?"./runs off to buy a lotto ticket because his luck has got to even out at some point.Message Edited by ArthurDentOnBria on 12-11-2004 04:38 PM
I have noticed what appears to be an increse in the difficulty of getting this DNA. I used to get at least one sample in 10 tries, now I'm down to about 1 in 15. I wonder if the integration of the jedi luck thingy has something to do with this.
