Thread: Arthur Shatters Dna sampling record

This was also where I learned that when you go away for a short bit, the critter type remains but the stats will change. Twice, one of the ones I was failing on had 13k+ health and when I'd return, it was in the more predestrian high 11k-low 12k range.

I would like to suggest a new badge:

Good idea!
I think I've had as many as 14 failures in a row. I mean, come on, we're MASTER BEs! One would think that we KNOW what we're doing by that point.
"Hi Mr. Mutant Rancor....don't mind this needle, just taking some of your DNA....what? No? Come on now, it's not like I don't know what I'm doing. I've done this a million times before. Just 1 little sample won't hurt.......*Mutant Rancor roars, swipes with one mighty paw and kills Master BE who then awakens in a cloning facility* Ok....I guess it did hurt"

After a strong drink and a few choice words (and posting this) I went back and failed 5 more times, running the streak to 24before getting a sample (and that sample killed that pesky MR muahahahaha).
Some more badges I'd like to see:
... has shown amazing resiliancy in crafting under duress (given after 3 consecutive critical failures in assembly, and still playing the same profession the next day)
... has shown amazing recooperative powers (given after being diseased 3 times in a day)
... the "lazerus" award for excellence (given after 10 trips to the cloning center within a 24 hour period)

On my bio, I once had a long list of new badges, including of the following:
...is a leading cause of rancor tooth decay
...has single-handedly wiped out the kamiruth malnutrition problem
...haspersonally worn out the Dathomir outpost cloning station.
...has achieved five consecutive critical failures in crafting.
It got lots of comments. Now I just have a story about the cloning station droid informing my mother and me that, due to an unfortunate malfunction, the station hadn't cloned my father, but cloned the chuba that had slain him instead. The remainder of the bio talks about the unique challenges of being raised by a chuba.
The badges drew far more comments.

Ah, Arthur. Nineteen times was impressive. Twenty-four borders on OCD.
<maniacal laughter>
<mumbling> must stick mutant rancor...must stick mutant rancor...must stick mutant rancor...
They don't call us MAD scientists for nuthin'.
