Thread: DNA Sampling.....Has anyone noticed any changes?
better yet find a ranger and have them camo you, camo make you invisable to npc's (walk right through a ns ranger with -5k faction and they dont blink) just food for thought

Camo kits no longer make you invisible to NPC's, we were told that it wasnever intended to work that way and was removed in a previous patch. We have been fighting to get it back but as far as i know it hasn't been put back in and any recent experience you've had with it working that way is a bug.
You know, I'm not real big on buffing my stats....I generally play with what the Devs have given me....probably a mistake. At any rate, the mind cost for sampling is a bit much...especially with the number of failures I am encountering. I tried to sample a grassland voritor tracker.....4 times failed in a row. I had to wait for my mind to regenerate before sampling any further. Luckily, I did not encounter any agro during this sampling period. I have 700 for all my main stats. At 214 mind points per sample, it doesn't take long for me to haveto sit down and take a break.
I have made quite a few credits as a Master Bio-Engineer but, my frustration with the devs and their confounded tinkering is slowly driving me away.
Yeah, there seems to be something different. My mask scent seems to break about 3x as much as it used to, and I got 3 fails in a row and then an above average sample from durni I created before it popped last night. How could I fail to get a sample from a comatose (deeded) durni that was in my inventory? How could I fail 3x in a row, as a master BE, to get valid DNA from a creature I created?
Just curious....
I'll be on Dant again sometime today, so I'll give it a shot and see if it is different. Somewhere I remember reading the servers change stats on Tuesday; I can't swear that's true or not.
I've been using the same clothes and skills for a couple of months, so the variant isn't on my side. I know there are species I can expect a problem getting close to such as rancors and TMBs, but I'm talking about things I've never had a problem with.
