I did some more testing on the recipe mentioned above (VD/VD/Vrelt/Vrelt/Corellian Butterfly Defender) and these are my results:

HAM: 6.7-7.6k / 3.6-3.9k / 1.6-1.8k

Kinetic: 15%

Damage: 120-130

Special1: dizzy strike (occasionally)

Special2: intimidate (frequently)

Ranged: occasionally yes

Maxxed physique and psych, no experimenting on any other stat. Hitting of Level 10 with 100% certainty so far.

I was lucky on getting VD-samples with high hardiness (>600) so healthwill be lower than 6.7k when using VD-samples with average or low hardiness.

Easiest place, for me, to find nightspiders is just outside Theed. Circle around and you should find some.

nightspiders are on naboo, not dantooine, and they are one of the feeblest critters in the game, so if you could get missions for them, you'd probably need to unequip all your stuff etc. I see a lot of various kinds of nightspiders between kaadara and theed.

I am going to try the nightspider recipe.. it looks like it makes a better creature anyway. I wanted to know if you can get missions for nightspiders?? or where do you go to get the samples from them? I know they are on dantooine, but... thats about all I know of them.

Yet another reply. I've had good luck with the VD/HP/HP/VD/HP combo. 2 points in Phys, 1 in Mental & Prow. Averages 3.5/3/2 and it hasn't gone over CL10 yet.

I make creature mounts with the Voritor Dasher and Huurton pup recipe.

VD/VD/HP/HP/HP

I fully experiment on physique. The end result is a 5k/3k/1k HAM CL 10 pet with 14% Kinetic/Energy Resistances. I've made about 15 of these and it is consistant every single time. My favorite recipe because I can't stand resampling!

Energy resist would be nice but it's just blast resist coming out here.

Energy vuln is the entire point of using VD =) If you had energy resists there'd be no way they'd be under CL10

experiment on physique until you get the first stat close to 350 (I forget off the top of my head what that stat is called) typically 2 or 3 exp points. Do NOT experiment on anything else.

Get up out of your computer chair and do the voodoo dance so you don't critical fail. then click combine.

You'll end up with a template that will make a one-shot CL10 with 5K health more or less and intimidation and around 70 damage. As long as you stay within the 350 mark you'll have a CL10 every single time. These animals are very marketable in cats or mount skins.
