Didn't LA veto changing of race or sex?
I like the idea for cybernetic limbs however, I would love them to be craftable but so hard to craft that few people have them because otherwise it could be very immersion breaking.

I agree with both these posts. I'd love to be able to have another character or two. Not everyone has the option of simply getting another account.

Barring your purchase of someone else's account, what has changed that you need to changeyour name, race or gender after getting so far through your template that it can't be reground. All of the sudden, after being halfway through your FS grind you realized you do not want to be a wookiee? xXxDeAtHmAsTeRxXx is a dumb name now but not when you made it? The weight of playing a cross gender character is weighing on you too heavily?
More than likely these continuity and immersion shredding changes would be made to hide from past deeds, circumvent racial penalties, enable account sales. The policy encourages people to avoid dumb character generation choices and helps nurture some semblance of community. For the less than 1% of the people out there who have legitimate reasons that don't involve powergaming, account swapping or idiotic genration choices a case by case petitioning of CS is the most appropriate process.
That being said, I think last name changes could be benificial to the game.

Although I will admit that I hate that I have to make my Wookiee a jedi just to open my second character slot... but I would hate it just as much for any other race of character because while I do want that second character slot, I do NOT want a jedi.

No its immorally wrong and physically impossible in any kind of Star Wars Lore or technology. Seriously isnt the continuity of the storyline fubared enough?

Yeah I would be totally disappointed if they allowed race/sex changes. This is a roleplaying game so you need to think before you create...if you don't like it re-roll. I do think more than one character per server would be nice. I have 2 accounts already and still find myself wishing to make another.

- the player can't be ID anymore for a 12h gameplay time (preventing even little body changes simulating the time needed to adapt to the new body)

but it had to be limited in some ways i.e that you could only do it once every 3 months or something. or just a couple of times in the chars lifetime. would be kinda weird if suddenly you woked up one day and all you could see was wookies and the next day every1 was sullustan lol. so i think you shouldnt be able to do it all the time, but i'd certainly love that. cause i want to change the race on one of my chars and since hes a jedi, i dont exactly want to delete him and start all over again.. lol
