I am working on a PvE template, and I am looking to head towards Master Swordsman, 4114 TKA, Master Brawler, Novice Fencer, Novice Medic, and at least 1000 scout.
Now here is my probem, where is the best place to spend 28 points in fencer assuming I already have novice.
I don't PvP too much,so thats not a major concern for me.

I'm thinking about dropping my chef skills and going Master Rifle (I love being speed capped) TK4000, novice medic, and ranger 0020.
How does area track work at level 2?Are there any major deficiencies between tracking levels 2 and 4, other then having a lower range? If there is I might drop novice medic altogether, and go MR, TK4000, and ranger3040.

you will be able to tell animal type and direction but not distance.. NPC tracking is also at tracking III and you will be limited to about 350 meters...

What is the range for tracking 4? it sounds like it might be worth dropping novice medic altogether

I get player/NPCs/animal more than 450m away on tracking 4.

That souds logical Drak.... However, I am still not so sure it wasn't 500m all the way from Tracking I to IV. (I mastered Ranger a looong time ago so I can not remember if the tracking radius increased per level or not).

That is what I was taught as well, but I have been hearing the 500m minimum for a while now. I will look into it over the weekend...

how bad is it gonna be crafting my way through the two scout trees?
Well, you can only craft your way through one fo them (crafting traps gives survival xp, not rtrap xp). AS far as crafting through the survival line, it is a piece of cake if you have grind-crafted before...
