i dont think you would be able to call all the pets at 4/4/0/0, cos the management and comprehension sections add +5 each to pet levels at the top of their trees, so youd have to have 4/4/4/0 or 4/4/0/4 to call any pet... the pets you couldn'd call with 4/4/0/0 are the gurrek, rancor, and some obsoletes like the frenzied graul...

hope this helps!

i think grauls have 45 - but i dont have any cuz i dont like their look

the next good ones are 30 - 35

so 3/3/0/0 is probably the best to go for - every other skillpoint is waste (as it stands at the moment)

on the other hand - there are a lot lvl 15 and under pets with good ham and resists - with 50 to 75% of the tanking strength out there

means you can put your complete ch points into medic to keep those pets alive :/

hmm tough call,

I would because of your primary profession instead of going 4/4/0/0 try to go 2/2/1/3

that way you can call pets like GSP's heal thier mind damage and have 2 pets out at one.

but that's just a suggestion, the only one that can really make up your mind is you so try expiermenting

good luck

I am a newly trained Novice Chef looking for a bit of advice!

What are the best grinders for the various levels? I'm currently cranking out Wastril Bread for my long journey to Box 1 of... something.

What's the most proficient way to progress, as far as xp goes? Money is nice, but I'd rather have xp efficient.

What are good sellers for the various branches, and what falls flat? Eventually, I would like to make money

Which area is better to put all *2* of my experimentation points into for things I plan to sell?

If I must choose only one, which is top priority: Overall Quality, Potential Energy, or Flavor (where applicable)?

Thanks in advance

How terribly disheartening, not a single Chef more advanced than I has any advice to offer.

Go to Mixology II for Ithorian Mist. Get LOTS of corn, wheat and water and make these using practice mode. 178xp

Entrees 1 stewed gwouch isn't too bad either. It only takes water and organic which is nice and general so that you won't have to move harvs around as much. IMHO of course

Ok here is the route I took. Wastril to Mix 1 then Deuterium-pyro to Mix 2. That gives you Sunburn to make some money to run your harvies. At Mix 2 is Ithorian Mist. Ithorian Mist gives the best xp to grind without the need for unharvestable (using harvesters not meat). Get 5 floraharvesters (this is to grind hard) place 3 on wheat 2 on corn any type any qual. Then get 1 water harv and set that up. Let these run and run and run and run and run (checking resource daily to make sure there is no shift) and grind away as you see fit until you hit master. I usually take my harvesters down once I have about 100K wheat adn 50K corn and water so I dont have to chase after the harvesters so much. Then I went up to Cooking 4 so I could make the most money per Sunburn (I charge by the stack size)and so I could make the best of whatever I was able to make next. Then I finished Mix 4 (just to be different hehe) and am now progressing up the Entree and Desserts lines in whatever order feels good for the day

As for what sells.....the most famous food/drink for the masses is Sunburn. This makes you your bread and butter. Then Ormachek and Veghashfrom Entree 2 sell quite nicely. Some sell Scrimpi and Bivoli in Entree 4 as well. In Desserts Felbar and Dweezelin Desserts 2 and Ryshcate in Desserts 3 are good. Corellian Fried ICecream in Desserts 4 is great as well. When you hit Master the favs atm are Breath of Heaven (BoH) and Angerian Fishak Surprise.

Hope that helps a bit. Others will fill in where I missed adn correct me if I have wrong information. We chefs hate to see others in the profession make fools of ourselves. There are so few of us one mistake lowers us from Einstein levels to tree sap in a heartbeat

Thanks so much! That is exactly what I was looking for!

Another question about something I noticed that seems strange, some of my Domestic Arts foods (from 3 and 4) have higher bonuses and longer duration than what I can make as a Novice Chef. Is this an oversight, or is it the difference in the experimentation I have from one profession to the other?

Someone with Eng 4 and DA 4 usually has 9 experimentation points to push the Dom Arts food stats up with, along with skill to do this easily.

A Novice Chef has one experimentation point, which will usually fail and make the food worse.

The Cooking line will make those low stat chef foods MUCH better.

For sure you will sell: Tatooine Sunburn (mix2), Ryshcate (desserts 3), Vercupti, Thakitillo, Breath of Heaven, Angerian (all master), Air Cake (domestic 3 - to reset armor-bugged stats). Yes, there are others that sell, but these are your main items. Personally, I believe you can sell everything.
The point is: you can't afford to have effect, duration and quantity starting low as you can't bring them all up to acceptables levels with 10 experimentation points. Unfortunately most items simply are not worth making (100 seconds as basic value ? Lol. +50 effect ? Rotfal.). You will notice that the hot sellers are kinda good as they are even _before_ experimentation. I guess that's why they are so popular. Ask a master doc for his buffs or beg a smuggler for a piece of Pixies and Muon Gold, then you will know who we compete with....

If I understand you correctly, you misunderstood something: _everytime_ you make an item, you have x experimenation points at your disposal. Distribute as you like. It isn't "fixed", you can choose differently on every item.
