Haven't been a BE for a long time, but I used to find Frenzied Graul lairs rather easily. Eastern edge, middle of map, before the mountains.

I literally had about 100 samples on me at all times...when I used some, I'd go get some more right away.

Never destroyed any, though, as even the above average samples would yield nice resist pets. I made a ton of Frenzied Graul-ish pets in my day.

You want rare, get the Reclusive Cavern Spider Queen. Now that's tough. I used to log out inside the cave right next to her spawn point...then log in once per day. Did it for about a week; never got aggro'd on load or during the sampling process. Wish I woulda got more than 5 samples, though. I wasted em all in one pet and it came out a level 77 narglatch.

Never was able to find that level 70 Gronda Juggernaut, though. Man, now that woulda helped make a nice pet.

Mutant rancors were pretty easy, too. Master Scouts should have few problems, although patience is certainly a necessary ingredient in the process. Also, it helps to either be a Master Rifleman or have one with you. Conceal Shot does wonders for thinning out a spawn of 5 Mutant Rancors so you only have to worry about 1 or 2 of em breaking your mask.

Because I was making pets for my MCH, I was only concerned with making high-level pets. Thus, I mostly used Mutant Rancor and Frenzied Graul DNA. I had enough samples of both at one time to make quite a few pets for sale, too.
