I have two characters on Tempest: a Mon Cal who has Master Medic and is working on Master Bio Engineer and some Doctor skills, and a Wookiee Creature Handler and Rifleman. It didn't take me long to figure out that I was getting tons of crappy DNA while I grind out the sampling experience, and instead of destroying it all, I could just make it into crappy DNA Templates to be used later in crappy pet deeds. After making a couple dozen extremely poor pets, I would give them all to my Creature Handler and let him train them for the experience boost (level 4 CH boxes take TONS of exp!). Once a CH has many pet commands that they can train, they can make loads of experience by grinding through those crappy pet deeds; BE pets aren't worth as much experience as wild creatures, but you don't have to hunt down BE pets, and BE pets always learn commands on the first training attempt. Once a CH gets half of their skill boxes, they'll have about 10+ commands that they can train for 100xp a pop, so you're looking at 1000+ experienece from taming each BE pet deed and training it. I wouldn't recommend using this technique to grind out all of CH (it's incredibly boring), but it is a welcomed boost to CH experience, especially since those level 4 boxes take twice as much as the level 3 boxes!

So, if you'rea novice Bio Engineer, and you're getting lots and lots of worthless DNA from sampling, you can put it to good use and make some credits if you can find some Creature Handlers who will pay to use your pets for the experience. Selling those worthless pet deeds on the bazaar as household decorations will work too; Bearded Jax seem to make pretty popular household pets, as well as the Squalls and other rabbit-like creatures.
