Someone wanted a level 70 kimogila.
I said it would take a few days because they're difficult to make due to the DNA I have to sample.
After a long line of questioning I don't care to repeat he actually asked whether or not he could sample the DNA for me if he learned Novice Bio-Engineer.
and the "Total **edit**" (TM) response would have been:
"Yeah, that would work - get Novice BE amd you should be able to get me some Mutant Rancor DNA no problem........." ![]()

I had a bizarre experience the other day, I do tend to be rather patient with people, which is why I didn't put him on ignore.
Can you make me a kilo?
Me - You mean a kimogila? the big giant thing that looks like a lizard?
Can you make me a kimogila?
Me - Yes I can make you a kimogila, but he has a minimum CL of 40. Only usable by a CH.
Can you make me a kimogila?
Me - Are you a CH?
Can you make me a kimogila?
Me - Yes I can make one, but you can't use it unless you are a CH! (Obviously he's not a CH, right?)
Can you make me a kimogila?
Me - I charge 10k for the lowest level of pet, but I'm warning you that you can't use him!
Tips me 10,000 credits
Can you make me a kimogila?
Me - Alright, give me about 10 minutes while I get some DNA.
(2 minutes later)
Where are you!
Me - I'm outside the city getting DNA for the kimogila!
Can you make me a kimogila?
Me - I am making the kimogila!
Can you make me a kimogila?
Me - the kimogila is finished, I'm by the bank come get him.
So he comes over and takes the kimogila, that he will never be able to use. Haven't heard from him since.

I knew you weren't really out of town Arthur but don't worry about it. We all have to pay our dues as BE's by dealign with these people at one time or another. I am sure we all have our stories of outrageous requests and funny stories. That has certainly been proving by this thread. I sometimes wonder if these are people who don't speak english ... maybe that is why they seem not to understand when we explain the situation over and over. Hehe

That's why I kindof wanted to be patient. He may of known only 5 words in the english language until I said "kimogila" when he learned his sixth. One thing I really like about this game is that you can meet people from all over the world.

That reminds me of my buddy who is WoW beta right now. He told me he keeps running into non-english speaking people (according to him most commonly either euro or asian) who only know one word - "party" (which if they're euro is pretty annoying since they get their *own* beta). He said it's bad cause when he logs in he gets about 10-20 requests from people to join his group. They run up to him and say "party?" to try to get him to join their "party" (I guess the word "group" hasn't made it to that community since they're mostly battle.net people).

I love the people who buy 10+ pets in bazzar then ask me to TRADE that pet for one of my 30k non-ch pets. When I explain that I have no need for a level 13 swirl prong that they paid 500 credits for on bazzar they always say the same thing "but I spent all my money on it so I dont have any to buy one of your pets" ... to which I reply "you should re-list this pet you bought on bazzar and get your money back"
I'm sorry, but I'm not here to clean up your un-informed mistakes. When I was a novice CH I bought many a bazzar pet I couldnt use before I figured out how it worked... not once did I ever do anything but keep the pet anyways for later use or try to resell it.

Making pets would or could be a little easier IF there was a way to store more DNA. I never had to use /addignore until I became Master BE. There has to be a way to tell people that we just don't have the room to store all the DNA necessary to make custom pets.

I find this discussion rather fascinating. I have my MBE tag on all the time, and I play quite often, but I don't get nearly as much harrassment as you guys do. I usually just respond with a "I'm very sorry, but I don't make pets. I specialize in chef and tailor tissues." On the rare occasion I get a second request, I point them in the direction of a few other BE's vendors and give them a couple other BE's names that make pets and recommend sending them an email.... Oops. Maybe I'm part of your problem
Respectfully yours,

I just made master BE (I have a master chef and getting good additives was just too hard) on my alt this week and have the title up.
No tells that are stranger than when I had up my master chef tag
Them: "Do you have some (insert name of a food item no one ever heard of here")
Me: No sorry let me send you my vendor location.
Them: I don't have money can you just give me some brandy.
Me: No sorry,
Them: Ok can you give me some money.
Me: (Tip 5k )
Them: That's not enough.
hahahahahaha
I swear sometimes I think I'm at a summer camp for wayward children.
Anyway, the side point of this is after about 20 professions on 3 characters I find BE the most potentialy creative and fascinating. I'm off on all planets to sample DNA and play around. Minor annoyances aside this character (which is also Master CH) is having a lot of fun right now.
