Today I went to bestine to do some hunting. I forgot to get up a different tag than my MBE *slap forehead* so I end up having this conversation...
Person: Can you make me a pet?
Me: Are you looking for a non-ch pet? I have many fine animals available on my vendor, I can mail you the waypoint. I also have a level 10 cu pa available fully grown and trained for customers who are in a hurry. (this is what I tell everyone who asks for a mount, the only variation being in the skin of the available grown/trained pet)
Person: I need a bigger one
Me: Ok, I have many other options in my shop for pets a CH can use, I can send you the waypoint.
Person: I want a 22 vir vir
Me: I'm sorry I don't make custom pets, its to hard to make pets exact levels.
Person: Oh
Person: well, can you sell me the DNA to make a 22 vir vir?
Me: ...
I just didnt know what to say after this lol, it was just one of those times you wonder what exactly it is that people think we bio-engineers can do with our skills. I just wanted to share

Heh. Reminds me of a conversation on Dathomir...
SomeGuy:Hey you're a BE. Make me some Pet Vit Meds and Stims I'll give you 500 credits.
ME: Sorry don't have the stuff to make em on me.
SomeGuy: What I told you to make them.
Me: I can't make em right now, and I wouldn't sell you them for that low of a price.
SomeGuy: Hey man, you're ruining this game for me, I'm gonna go whine to a CSR and get you banned

I've never been asked for dna, but I have been given dna by a customer and told "here, use this". I also had a customer a week ago ask me for a recipe so he could take it to another BE to be made. Doh! And all this while my BE tag is down.

I'm not gonna name or even hint at who the friend was who asked me this, but it was a classic.
"You know that rancor you made for me last month, could you change the first special to dizzy for me? Bit of plastic surgey on it or something?"

Arthur I have a feeling I know exactly who you are talking about. And he did come ot me and said he wanted such and such pets. I told himI was busy and all that stuff. He kept after me so I agreed to do it. Told me he went to you but you told him you were going to be out of town. Ended up being the hardest triplets I ever had to make. 3 generations and multiple trips to endor and dant to get lvl 23 kusaks with 59% kinetic, 40ish energy, 90%stun, strong disease, strong poison and ranged. Phew ... needless to say it wasn't worth it.

Lmao at all these.
for some reason i keep getting asked " any chance of a buff"
to which i reply " no sorry im not a doctor."
Reply "So who can i get a buff from then?"
End of conversation.
im also sick of e-mails asking me to make lvl 10 rancors, but i suppose they dont really know the restrictions of our proffesion.

I'm a MBE/Tailor. I have never once had my MBE tag up (or in fact, ANY BE tag). I primarily focus on Tailor tissues to supplement my business. I had only made pets as a favor to one of my friends going CH.
Out of the blue, I got a tell the other day from someone I've never seen before.
Him: "Hey, I hear you're a master BE."
Me: "Umm... yes." (Wondering how he found that out...)
Him: "Can you make me a pet?"
Me: "Well, I'm not really good at making pets. I don't usually make them, so I probably wouldn't be able to get you what you want."
Him: "But you're a Master BE, aren't you?"
The conversation went on a little further, I finally explained that pets are tricky to make and he'd be better off finding a BE that actually knows what he/she is doing.
Took quite a bit of explanation, I swear the guy was as thick as a doorstop. Oh well, I hope he eventually found a BE to take care of him, and I feel bad for the BE he found.

lol this is funny. i sent out a list of all the things i can make what little astericks (sp?) next to the mountable ones. I can't make anything heavy yet, like tusk and razors...do you know 5 mins after i sent that email...one of my clients asked for a razor...said i can't make those...oh well can i get a tusk? did you read the email i sent you...yeah...can i make tusks?...oh no sorry lol i'm brain fried tonight
OY, i tell ya. Another thing, we have several crafters in our city. We all have sent emails to them our citizens telling them "if you havea special request, send it by email so not to clutter the tell base"
do you know how many tells i alone get in one day asked about pets and what i can and can't make from my own citizens? i can only imagine what the others get
ok babbled enough
ciao

Someone wanted a level 70 kimogila.
I said it would take a few days because they're difficult to make due to the DNA I have to sample.
After a long line of questioning I don't care to repeat he actually asked whether or not he could sample the DNA for me if he learned Novice Bio-Engineer.
