Or run a factory while grinding yourself.

Or run missions to pay upkeep while the factory grinds.

Don't forget the fact that the factory creates items about 60 times slower than you can do it yourself...

A run of 100 mouse droids would take 3-4 hours in game...

It's best use is to make needed components while you're sleeping or grind componenets while you're mining close by...

ok guys thanks for the replies so far...couple more questions:

Where can you place a factory? In your house?

How close do you have to be to gain the exp? Can i be on the same planet? within 50 meters?

thanks in advance.

Beside your house is probaby the best. I think the range for experience is about 200 meters.

I usually start mine up and then mine resources by my front door till it finishes.

It is a separate building though and counts as 1 lot against your limit

So as a new Droid Engi who would like ta get to where I can make decent droids I 1) get a Factory 2) set it up to make the ever lucrative Mouse Droids and 3) sit back online as I sleep and the factory makes my droids so I can 4) move up and make droids more than 10 folks want per galaxy

Sound about right?

Basically, you're on to it. But you are going to need to mkae hundreds of MSE droids, so it would take your factory a while for that, but I can see maybe having it work while you're sleeping. Secondly, most droids are quickly slipping from being a lucrative business as it is. No one wants the Probot anymore, now it's all about the ADV Probot, so now you get to grind up to master blueprints and hope they're o.k. with a level 1 armor module on the droid. <shrug> Good luck anyway!

I've heard about making schematics for 100 fiberplast panels for example, and having crates of these items, how exactly does this work? Any help is thanked for in advance

Get a good bit of the materials needed for the item, you have to use the exact resources in the schematic to build your items with.

Stand next to a Clothing/Armor Public Crafting station in a city and combine your item. You will get the option to make a prototype, make a schematic, or experiment.

After you make the schematic, it will appear in your datapad.Buy a Wearables Factory load the schematic and resources into it. Load power and maintanence fees and then turn the factory on.

You will get email whe the factory is finished.

There is an option to choose how many I want, or will it continue making it until it's used up all the resources it can?

You have a slider to choose from 1-100, however you can type in a 0 at the end of 100 and make it 1000.

It will run till it hits the number you chose on the item or you run out of resources.

I have a question about Factories again. Some players have been saying they are bugged. Could someone with factory experience explain to me what would happen if I wanted to do this:

Say I wanted a create 100 units of Bofa Treats, I already have a manufacturing schematic. I feed the factory the schematic and then give it the needed resources to craft the 100 units correct? What is the output? I've heard of "crates" and how they basically stack in 25s. Now, regardless of how they are stacked, in the end will I still have 100 units? Also, if they are in crates can I "split" them? If I actually wanted to hand out 100 units to 100 players is that possible or is there a bug with the factories and crating?

Thanks for your help.

You will get 4 crates of 25 Bofa Treats. Each crate takes up5 inventory spaces. In order to use the Bofa Treats you need to double-click on a crate anda Bofa Treat will pop out into your inventory. The Bofa Treats will have only one use each and won't stack or go back into a crate once taken out.
