Use Vitality Pack

I have this option when on the Data Pad window. What does it do, and what is needed to use it.

It means that your pet has lost some of its vitality due to it probably being DB'd in combat. Using a pet vitality pack will restore vitality but also permanently reduce it. (i.e. from 98/100 to 99/99) I've actually never used one before but that's how I understand it works, so it makes more sense to use one when your pet is lower in vitality.

Think of a vitality pack as a weapon repair kit for your creature pet. If the creature's vitality falls below 100/100 (this happens when a creature is DBd by another creature or an NPC or possibly by a PC in PvP) you can restore it, partially, just like you can your E11 Carbine when it gets damaged below its max stats.

The vitality pack will restore the pet to something like 99/99 or some similar number. Never all the way back to 100.

Each DB will chip away at the creature's vitallity. I once had a mottled wrix that took 4 DBs in one battle and dropped from 98/100 to 90/100 (apparenly four different GSPs delivered DBs on the poor little tyke...this was in a terrible scrum on Talus where 8 GSPs ganged up on me, my gurreck, and my mottled wrix and some freinds. The wrix couldn't keep up, and neither could the rest of us. Some idiot peforming a run-by shooting of the lair to trigger more spawn did not help matters one tiny bit).

The creature will have full HAM and damage status until it falls below 75/100 on its vitality. Then it takes a 25% hit on these stats.

You can purchase vitality packs from BEs, who can craft them.

You need no skill to use, just like pet stim packs.

ok i know that vitality packs will heal vitality loss but whats the real purpose of doing this? is a pet that is 95/100 any worse off than a 98/98 pet or a 96/96 pet for example.

thanks

Pets with vitality 94/100 will have the same stats as a pet with 98/98 or 96/96 (or 100/100 for that matter). However, a pet that is 74/100 will only have 75% of it's full HAM. Applying a vitality pack to this pet would bring it up to 97/97 (I think, more research is needed), and back into the range where it has 100% HAM values.

Two part question...

A. How can i tell from looking at a pack how many points of Vit. it will heal, or are they all only 1 ?

B. Is there anyone on Sunrunner with a shop that stocks them or someone who usually has some for sale ?

TIA

whats the deal with vitality packs?

I had a grand wrix at 96/100 vitality when i used the vitality pack the creatures vitality went to 99/99. Is it a hit and miss, as far as healing vitality all the way? does it automatically deduct 1 point of vitality every time you use one? would be nice to know if i should wait till my pets vitality gets a little lower next time.

TIA

I think it depends on how powerful the vit pack is and how beat your pet is.

Hey everyone, I just have two questions.

First: What harvestors do I need to use to collect unknown radioactive for vitality Cs

Second: How are people pricing vitality packs?

I have seen formulas on the forums here for pet stim pricing, but I know vitality packs only have one charge. So I'm curious how people are pricing them. I see A's rated at 17 on the bazaar for 1500credits, but dont know if that's a standard/reasonable price. I will just be making As myself now, untilI can get the unknown Radioactive for Cs, but they are rated at 34+

Thanks for any info.
