what isn't working for you.
I make sure all my secondary stats are at 400. that way i can wear my full suit of ubese armor without worry.
by secondary stats you mean, for example,constitution? or are you talking about strength as well as constituion being 400 as well?
i just have the distinct feeling that im not doing something correctly. previously it seemed like i didnt have enough HAM to go around, but i was regenerating at warp speeds, now it seems like i have mroe than enough HAM, but it takes years for it to come back.
maybe all of my problems could be solved by getting rid of this laser carbine and trying to pick up some pool-friendly dh17 or e11 or something... sigh

I cant remember the rest, but Focus and willpower are at the bottom allowed as a human, and my 2 secondary action costs are a little higher than the health secondary ones. The real trick is you have to have a high action since ham costs for specials are so costly. The secondary costs just help you wear armor and heal after a fight(thats why you should remove armor when u r resting).
Did I mention I like Ham?
and exactly how is fighting different for you when you equip your suit of ubese armor? are you limited to two or three specials per fight? have you completely given up on healing yourself during battle?
right now im just wearing clothes, and while i think its cool to spam legshot2 and actionshot, it upsets me when monsters can take me out in three hits.
Well, I am a novice medic and will have to sell that soon for the skill points.But, I am a Creature Handler too and am using a pet to tank for me now. Before I had a pet it usually took atleast one heal per fight to finish. With the CDEF you can spam about 10 KD shots and as soon as the mark falls, switch guns, and any KD shots left over will cancel because it is the wrong type of gun. It is also a good idea to have a small /ex window of your mark up, so you can always have a good view of him. Also, never use body shot or anything that does more damage and no effect unless the mark is fleeing because he is almost dead. These are nice when you have a doc healing you, but you need to save the ham for your KD, confusion shot, bleeding, and eye shot specials.
And yes, after every fight with a mark, my health looks like I almost got killed even though I never even got shot.
I do have composite armor, but I don't always use it when I have a pet. In a single fight, it will help alot. You will see msgs like: Egok shoots you for 1465 pts of damage. You Ubese Armor absorbs 250 pts of damage.
The drawback with armor is that it takes forever to heal up with it on, so as soon as the battle is over, remove it.
