we already have a "pet decay"

if it dies 100 times it's gone, that's it..... also, if it's at 75 vitality, it'll only have 75% of the original stats, 50 vit. 50% 25 vit. 25%.........

we sell vitality pack and pet stims- decayable items, this is all the decay we need i think........

First of all MooF has a valid point and dosen't deserve to be one stared, just because you may disagree. What, are we back in High School again? Gonna give him a swirly or lock him in his locker? Come on.. grow up.

Yes, pet's need to decay. Right now the only turn around on pets is because of variety not because of need. CHs get sick of the same old pet day after day so they ask for a new one. Although pets do decay they do not decay enough. I have a rock beetle that I have had since July or so and it still has 97 MAX vitality. Sure it's decayed 3 points, but 3 points in 10 months? I am sorry we need more decay then this.

Nancy, you have to remember that not all servers are created equal. Just because you have a huge business in pets doesn't mean every BE on every server has the same problem. On Intrepid there aren't many CH remaining. Pets are very difficult to give away much less sell. Our Weaponsmith had a huge party/giveaway for Geno/Krayt weapons last saturday, I swear there were hundreds of people there. I was giving away free pets and pet stims for the hell of it. I probably gave away 4 awesome CL21 Dizzy Knockdown pets and 5 crates of stims. 4 pets? I would have figured I'd have given a lot more away then that, the way I was advertising it. but no, there just isn't a market for Pets on Intrepid any more.

I don't think pets need anymore decay than they already have, in fact, it wouldn't bother me if pets never decayed. If for no other reason then the fact that CH's have been nerfed quite enough.

I already have repeat customers, players who come back and want a pet in a different skin or different special or whatever the case may be, my pets are high quality and the prices are very reasonable.

At anyrate, asking for pet decay just to get more credits from forcingrepeat customers seems needlessly greedy to me, especially in light of the fact that BEs can already make plenty of profit from tissues and chef additives, both of which are consumed at a very reasonable pace in order to produce the, 'repeat customer' effect.

This is the same arguement that architect made at the start of the game. People still sell harvestors. The game naturally evolves. People leave, new people come in, people return. I was wrong then about archs basically becoming a useless profession. That is not the case, and it won't happen to BE either.

I am much more willing to replace pets if it is because I choose to. I would be against having to replace pets because the game makes me. I don't need pets, I can get along fine without them and I think I would if it would become more of a hassle to get pets ever time I needed to get a new one.

I can just throw in the perspective of my self and every CH I have talked to about this. If they increase the rate of decay I would most likely give up CH. Like was mentioned CH has been severely nerfed already from what it was. The only reason I have stayed is because of my attachment to my current pets. I can tell you tht anyone who thinks increasing pet decay will in turn increase or sales of pets is mistaken. IMHO it would result in the exact opposite situation, it would effectively kill the market.
