LOL

The joke is that a non bio-engineer person is going to see you out in the field doing the medic fist pull on an animal and it falls over dead. No words, no blaster shots, just you waving your first and this giant beast falls flat. That's the farce baby.

The odd thing about the Farce is that the less skilled you are with it, the more chance you have to knock off your adversaries...

Whats the life like for a Novice BE? Can they make anything profitable at all? Do their creatures sell (Can they make creatures yet?)

Yes a novice can make items that sell. Mostly they are pet medications. Pet stims and vita packs sell. Kaadu and carrion spat sell because they are mounts.

Obviously you will make more money as you advance. Don't make the mistake of climbing the engineering tree last. You will need those experiment points if you hope to compete in the market place.

Find someone that enjoys scouting and group with them regularly. You will need tons of animal resources. Meat mostly as well as DNA. Hide and bone are also used in special tissues. You will also need different types of flora so purchase a flora farm. Bio-engineering will be what you make it. If you grind then bio-engineering will be the most horrible profession you've ever encountered. Its a huge grind. If you role play the mad scientist and make /emote macros like "Buboo waves hands wildly and uses the Farce" when you sample DNA its actually a lot of fun. Especially when the critter falls over dead. You'll have everyone ask how you did that and if you are a Jedi.

LOL uses the farce...thats classic.

BEs need Flora, wow, I had one, but couldn't keep maint. costs...heh uh oh. Yeah, BE sounds like it'll be fun.

Right now I'm grinding to Organic Chemistry 4, then I'm on my way to BE, and bingo. Is there a BE trainer on Tatooine? I might need one this weekend, with any luck.

BE sounds to me like I'm going to have a blast with it. So we need DNA samples, meat, and a lot of other harvestable stuff to make simple creatures?

The BE trainer on Tatooine is in Bestine. There may be another one but I don't know of one. The Bestine trainer is standing off to the right next to a small building if you run across the bridge towards the clone center.

DNA samples, meat and flora are needed to make critters. You will need meat to make almost everything so harvest meat. You can buy bone and hide if you need to but if you were to purchase all the meat you'll be poor fast. That's why I say find a buddy and go on regular hunting trips. Use the Farce when you need DNA but make sure to blam a few of the critters for meat.

Above all avoid grinding. I only grind to get the last few thousand points in any given box.If you grind through BEyou'll come to hate it with a passion.

Sampleing is fun

You can do 5k missions on Talus with out firing a shot at a mob

okies you have to shhot the lair, but nothings perfect

To get good DNA you find yourself wanding through groups of Red con Aggro critters wondering if you'll see the creature dectect message I do find it helps to get CH 1100 and go get a Greater Sludge Pather from SW deaeric (sp?)

Does eem to be taking me a long time though, I did find some nice mob that gave me 299 sampleing xp.. but forgotten what they were tbh :/

Roll on the new Patch !

When Crafting, does a higher complexity item offer more XP per craft? What factors dictate the amount of XP per item crafted?
