Or I could lose a sale because somebody else is selling cheaper than me, or selling a slightly better product, or has better resources--or a better location. An economy prices items based on supply and demand without personalities or feelings getting involved. I see no need to get upset because someone sells a schematic; if I can't sell nutrients, I'll do something else for cash.

Why does the theoretical person with the product on a vendor have more right to make a sale than the theoretical be selling the schematic? A sale's a sale. From what I've read it's ok to sell schematics if you charge enough, though "enough" varies from person to person.

I don't think everyone will ever agree on what's right--which is as it should be or we'd all be clones, so I'll drop the subject here.

I like your points you make. And you're right, everyone will have a different opinion on it. The part I don't appreciate is when someone complains that I'm devaluating the industry by selling too cheap and hurting their business. If I ask 5k for a schematic that someone else charges 25k for, of course the customer will prefer to do business with me in most cases. The guy charging 25k is charging too much in this case and will be forced to drop his prices, or go without customers. You can see this working with doctor buffs right now. Even though some will pay 25k for a buff, if they see a 10k buff they'll take that one instead. If your lower prices don't get back your investment, you will eventually lose money and no longer afford to do it. If it nets you a profit, the price will have to be lowered by others just for them to have business.

ok, so I looked through all the FAQ's, etc. and could not for the life of me find the answer to my question

What tools are used to create higher level pets? I can create lower level ones, but do I need to be near a crafting station to craft higher level ones or what?

OK, so Im new to BE cuz I thought it would be a fun profession to try out. So far I love it, from trying to get DNA from critters without dying, to crafting some nice stuff. It's really a profession I enjoy but im still trying to figure out a couple things and was wondering if anyone could answer em.

First off, how do you make such strong pets? The max health I can get is like 3k, and the DNA samples I get are pretty weak. Where do you get the DNA samples from to craft pets, and off what critters? I wanna be able to craft them 11k HAM grauls with 500 dmg hits hehe

Second, do the quality of resources make a difference in making pets? They dont really seem to, it seems that the DNA is usually the big thing.

These are some questions I really want answering, cuz I love the BE profession and would like to create a successful business

BE pets are borked right now, and the devs say they are actively working on the problem. It seems anything with a fortitude higher than 500ish in slots 2, 4, and 5 give you pets with unusable DL.

Resources don't matter at all when crafting the pet. I use the 200 stat recycled resources as a matter of fact. However, all I'm crafting right now is mounts where, like you, I'm hitting DL10~ with 3-5k health and some of the worst damge you've ever seen

p.s. I was grinding BE on one of my toons when the respec hit. The folks in this forum have been very helpful. Stick around and read as much as you can.

QFE

Pet crafting is broken currently and under dev attention, so it will more than likely change. So I wouldnt spend any effort trying to grasp the current system.

To answer your question about resources and pets: No, the resources you use when you make a pet do not matter. Pet making is totally borked atm.

oddly enough, I just had a crazy experience crafting pets.

I used some really good quality DNA, high stats in the slots, etc. with max stats on 3 or 4 slots....

craft a rancor that has 4K HAM and 396 max dmg

so I decide to craft a mount....use my crappier DNA templates, do all the experimenting.....and I get a critter with 7K HAM and around 400 dmg too

cloning is definitely borked lol
