"Essentially, the skillmod stays. Wookiees will still be able to tame creatures easier than other species. The level that they can tame is still the max level of what they can tame, but it doesnt mean they will tame the creature on the first attempt IE, if your skillmod is lower, your ability to tame is lower. That will mean they might have to make multiple attempts and those with higher skillmods might succeed sooner."

Or as TH also put it originally.. one skillmod to rule them all.

BOTTOM LINE: I have a cl69 Kimo:

WITH MOD clothes on I CAN take him out.

WITHOUT MOD clothes I CAN NOT take him out.

You see TH can still be right that they took out the vicousTAMING cap (forTAMING vicous/wild check only) and they left in theCONTROLMAX CLcheck. If you remember back when many people bought graul maulers (they couldNOT tame them themselvs- cuz the TAMING check) from MCH's and they could control the graul for a certain time and when it matured they could not call it because of the CONTROL check. Maybe they left theCONTROL check code in, it sure looks that way to me.

Exactly the point I was trying to make that got the flame which you responded to.

Talthazar, could you please make sure Keldarin hears about this issue. I posted about this days ago, it seems that +taming vicious (and thus the 15% rule)is preventing the use of high CL 'aggressives'.

I can calll a CL63 Kusak, I cannot call a CL65 one or numerous other CL65+ 'aggressive' clones (angler, graul, kimo etc.). People with taming bonus clothes or wookiees with their taming bonus do not have this problem, this is a good indication that it is +taming vicious causing the issue.

Thunderheart stated that there would be "one skill mod to rule them all". No more max pet level combining with max level of pets combining with +taming vicious to decide if you can use a pet or not. It makes no sense that I can create a CL65+ but it has to go into a non-aggressive skin or else I cannot sell it - its the same creature regardless!

If thats true then none of the rare wild baby spawns will function when fully grown. So whats the point in having them anyway? Bull Rancor are CL63 and produce babies on rare occasions, to me it sounds like a design flaw where they left the vicious skill mod still having an effect on what you should call. It will no doubt be corrected as it's causing a problem.

Actually....it appears that cl63 is the cutoff. People have reported being able to call 63, but not 64 or higher without mods. Don't recall offhand if any of the other rare's are higher CL.

I have cloned many CL64 Kimo's, and so far the master CH's can still call them at full grown. I have cloned 3 CL70 Kimos for master CH's, but they're not full grown yet, we'll see what happens to them when they are.

Yes, I've also heard of CL65 aggro species being called. I'm not sure what the vicious skill mod caps at to be honest, if it's +70 then technically they should not be able to tame or control over CL60. If its +75 then they should not be able to tame or call over CL64. Maybe this is a bug, maybe it's not. Either way it's stupid to offer people CL70 pets but limit them to specific bodies when the body is nothing more than a shell for ferocity.

It is possible that this is intended and they want us to make the +taming tissues to allow folks to call those last few CL of agro critters. Perhaps when they get around to fixing the milk shortage that will be how this problem is solved.

Think about it. If all MCH could call full grown critters that are in those last few CL and are aggressive then what would be the point of having the +taming tissues and clothing made from them. For the 3 or 4 uses while the MCH attempts to tame a high level rare baby? No, then they wouldn't really need these as much.

Although I still think the programmer in charge of makign the recent changes happen must have left some old coding in that causes this.
