Thread: High Level Kimo problem
I made a CL 69 Kimo Gila for a master CH. After it had grown to full size, he says he can not call it to him anymore. Is this an issue anyone else has experienced - I am hesitant to make more for people if the final product is to be bugged - trying to keep an honest reputation.
All CL60+ pets (even the rare babies that were tamed like the bull rancor) are suffering from a bug that is stopping them from being called when they mature. Don't worry this will be corrected in the next patch.
Looking at the CH skill tree youll see they still have 2 types of taming, vicious and wild. Vicious (agresisive) caps at +50 while wild (non aggressive) caps at +70. That's why they aren't able to call those high level critters such as Kimogila and Bull Rancor.
So us BEs should only make those agro skins at CL 50 or under otherwise folks will need to be a Wookie or have the +taming clothing to call them once grown. Of the 69 creatures we can make 20 of them are definately aggressive. A few I'm not sure about. So I'm only makeing the over CL 50 critters out of the non-agro skins to be sure the MCHs will be able to call them when grown.
Oh for the love of god. Vicious taming and wild taming skill mods effect TAMING not CONTROL. Would you like to hear this from the devs themselves to make it perfectly clear?
"Essentially, the skillmod stays. Wookiees will still be able to tame creatures easier than other species. The level that they can tame is still the max level of what they can tame, but it doesnt mean they will tame the creature on the first attempt IE, if your skillmod is lower, your ability to tame is lower. That will mean they might have to make multiple attempts and those with higher skillmods might succeed sooner."
Or as TH also put it originally.. one skillmod to rule them all. ![]()
"Vicious (agresisive) caps at +50 while wild (non aggressive) caps at +70"
No your reading it wrong.
That is a +50 to tame bonus on vicious not a max lvl to tame lvl 50 vicious
Max lvl is 70 and there bugged.
I have a 66 I can pull and a 61 I cant.
Is it possible that some portion of the old '15% rule" didn't get removed correctly and is messing up things with certain clones? We do have one person here who's mentioned they can pull out a 66 but not a 61 (aggro vs non-aggro? ferocity?), but I've also seen a few folks mention in other posts that they had pets they were unable to call until they put on the mod clothing. Sounds like something related to that old rule might have slipped into the works in the new system.
Just a thought
So has anyone in recent days been able to pull a level 69-70 aggresive creature out - sound off all you MBE/MCH's
I know what TH said and I know how MCH worked before the publish. The +taming effected what you could and still does. What TH meant is that +70 is supposed to be max level and max tamable. However the bug lies in that when they made that change they forgot to remove the limits for agro. The vicisous tamingused to be max you could tame and control that's agro while wild taming was max non-agro which was also at +50 and then a 3rd number that was max pet levels which was the total number of pet levels.
Where the programmers goofed is the max pet levels was supposed to be the ONLY one left and it was supposed to effect all. Hence the one skill to rule them all. But if you bother to go read the CH skill tree and talk to CH's in game or look in your skill mods if you are a CH then you'd see that in fact there is +70 wild and +50 vicious. As always if you don't have the skill to tame that high a level you won't be able to call it. Since +vicious is capped at 50 without using clothing (yes even on a wookie MCH that number still says 50) that means the highest aggressive you could possibly tame is 50 therefore the highest aggressive you could possibly control is also 50.
That's how it was before the publish. That's not how it's supposed to be after the publish. So they need to go back and fix that.
wearing BE active tranquilizer clothing allows me to call that lvl 65 kimo. don't know about anything higher since i don't have something to test it with.
i suggest not selling non-wookies anything higher than lvl 63 or get to work finding some milk.

BOTTOM LINE: I have a cl69 Kimo:
WITH MOD clothes on I CAN take him out.
WITHOUT MOD clothes I CAN NOT take him out.
You see TH can still be right that they took out the vicousTAMING cap (forTAMING vicous/wild check only) and they left in theCONTROLMAX CLcheck. If you remember back when many people bought graul maulers (they couldNOT tame them themselvs- cuz the TAMING check) from MCH's and they could control the graul for a certain time and when it matured they could not call it because of the CONTROL check. Maybe they left theCONTROL check code in, it sure looks that way to me.

No it doesnt. As a young CH I was able to tame aggressive creatures a full level before non Wookie CHs

Don't count on the "fix" to be beneficial to BEs or CHs. The Dev Team has absolutely no interest in making BEs and CHs more powerful. I expect nerf cluster bombs as New Year presents from the Devs.
