Thread: So where is our Correspondent?
One of My characters on Starsider is a Master BE. I don't pretend to be an expert at it though even if Kevie did try to educate me
I'll be happy to lend a hand as well until either another correspondant is chosen or Talthazar's returns.

No no, dang you, they're MINE bwahahahahah.
Just kidding, Doc. I'm a limited BE, so I'll gladly bow out to your expertise.
we'll get THREE correspondents!
*insert maniachal laughter here*
ps. talthazar, good luck with whatever is keeping you busy- whether it be hard times, or just a lot of hard work, i hope everything turns out for the better in the end.
Wow, more correspondents than you can poke a wookie at.Maybe BE isn't as forgotten as some of us thought
)
I usually hate to join in calling for a correspondent to be replaced, but considering another correspondent had to start out "19 Q's" thread, it might be an idea to get someone to fill in for him. If he's having RL issues at the moment this would also take some pressure of him there hopefully...
Tal-N has postedsaying he'll be spending most of his time in CoH, so unless he's changed his mind, I'm not sure if he'd actually do the position justice (or be that fair on him) timewise if he has started playing it.
My vote(s) would be for either ArthurBrentOnBria or NancyJ (if she's changed her mind about leaving BE). Their still active, both have a thorough knowledge of Bio Engineering, theyboth communicate both well and fairly often. Theyalso seem to"play well with others" when others play well with them
)
Arthur would be my choice. I have allways found his posts informative and he seems like he would do very nicely at the helm of our little red headed stepchild family

Tal-N will never be a correspondant - he's far too vocal. Correspondant positions go to quiet players who will keep their community happy (quiet) and wont make a fuss.
So not true. Look at the new DE correspondent. Real TK421 was a VERY outspoken member of the DE community and was against a lot of the things the devs were doing. He's correspondent now because the DE community wanted him to be.

EDIT: I just sent this to Thunderheart about our situation (of which he should already be aware)
Talthazar has been the BE Correspondent for a long time (since the beginning I believe) and he has done a fantastic job.
But lately, he has been absent for a majority of the important discussions going on and feedback to the Devs. We all saw his post about RL being very busy recently, and we all respect that.
However, we need someone who can devote much of their time to our wants/needs. As terrific as Talthazar has been, much of the BE community feels a change needs to take place. We deserve the same amount of concentrated and constant discussions that some of the other profs are getting.
The following thread is the most recent one asking for a change:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=bio-engineer&message.id=68259
Come talk to us, our communication is severely lacking right now.
Please don’t let the lack of future changes to BE affect the possibility of at least dropping by.
Sincerely,
a distraught Master Bio-Engineer

This is true, the smuggler correspondent Caylin is one of the most outspoken people on the smuggler boards. It's nice to know there is someone who is a real bulldog on the inside fighting for you.
hehe are we voting for BE correspondents already?? ![]()
Seems like Nancy, Arthur, and Tal-N are the 3 tops choices here. It's a hard decision as I think all have their strong points and weak points (as we all do).
Tal-N has a great mind for numbers but he is getting hitched up (married) and moving to some place in Europe.. England or something. That should pretty much rule him out.
Nancy also has a good mind for numbers and also, from what I observed, has a talent for dealing with people. However, she already stated she was thinking of moving on indicating to me she might be a little bored with BE...
Arthur, also a great mind when it comes to math, has been a MBE before SWG even came out I think
He has always been level headed in his posts but also vocal enough not to be confused with a "yes" man. He also stated he would likely remain a MBE as long as he plays SWG.
It is a tough choice for sure as I think they all could make a good correspondent. Since I wouldnt consider Tal-N due to his RL circumstances that leaves Arthur and Nancy IMHO...
I think they are both great MBE and I wouldnt say one would make a better correspondent then the other... The tie breaker for me is Nancy's thoughts on leaving BE. If she feels bored with BE and wants to try out another profession it wouldnt make too much sense to vote her into the correspondent's seat ![]()
So, my conclusion in Arthur.
