Any pet any BE creates can be used as a 'house pet'.

I sold loads of what I called house pets in the early days at 1k each - now they could have been for decoration or they could have been CH's grinding either way I was suprised at how fast they sold.

Cheap, low lvl pets always have a market.

CH's can use them for a day or 2, than trash them when they get too big. It makes for far safer grinding. Also helps for AFK grinding, buff the pet, it just went 50 hps to 2050, run a pet trick macro on a loop. This only works well with babies, and BE babies are often nicer than the wild ones.

But I like my lvl 10 cat with ranged attack.

I wouldn't disagree with this but I would point out that how many sales may well depend on how much traffic you get past your vendor.

And house pets can be the same as grind CH pets. However in either case I would think your prices would have to be low since you can use crap dna for both.

I can honestly say yes to this question. I am currently under-contract with a CH (grinder - not my favorite - since I am a M CH by choice) for about 280 'trash / house' pets for 1k each. So there is money there. I also have been asked to make bearded jaxs (5-8 of them) for a new house for decoration.

I personally try to keep about 7-10 House pet on my vendor. Since they sell quickly and cheaply and are easy to whip up. Before I make a batch I ask guild members and friends if there are special skin / color combos that they would like. I have noticed alot more ppl want 'white' pets and the best we can offer are light gray.

As a rule and thing I make with a Ham under 800 is a house pet and sells for 1k. If think it is going to be higher then 1k Ham I throw it into a mountable skin to sell. I am also I M CH so I train / mount and sell -- for those impluse buys in front of spaceports. This is also a bonus a I can verify a vaild non-ch mount before selling it.

I sell house pets on the bazaar (don't have a vendor yet) at 2500 each and they sell usually within a couple of days. I still only have the novice pets, and they all sell very well except the swirl prong and eopie. Those do sell, but not nearly as fast as the rest. I would put up one of those two skins for every 3 of the other skins I make. It's a great way to make money as I gain exp in sampling.

This isn't my orignal idea, it comes from my boyfriend, but what if tha MBE's could mutate the genes of all creatures to be about the size of a typical house pet. (IE avg cat & dog size.) The creature would maintain it's natural charecteristics, but could ONLY be used when dropped inside of a house or guild hall, where it would just wander around freely. Think about it. A tiny Rancor about the size of a Great Dane that bites your ankles as you walk through someone elses house. I think that would be awsome! Sorry if this idea has been posted before, I'm not a BE, but I thought this idea too cool to not get out in the open.
