No one said it was hard to make nonCH pets, but its been difficult for some to make decent nonCH pets... not that I don't mind hijacking my thread, but if you have made some nice nonCH pets consistantly, congrats... umm, can you share the recipe?

If you managed to get the armor in, my pricing scheme would put that at around 85k. If not, it would drop to around 60k. Having no specials at all I would probably drop that a little, but for the CL that pet will more than hold its own and will make a nice tank for someone.

Sold it for 75k. I felt that was a little generous, considering that its lvl 17 and 55 kinetic, i would have killed for a pet like that when i was a CH.
After that, the guys requested another pet, rancor at lvl 22 LOL. Then he said gurreck, and reminded me that he pays big money

he/she is very demanding, for 60k i'd make it when i got around to it, not stop what i was doing.

you cannot make lvl 22 rancors i think. Im pretty sure the minimum lvl for them is 35, whether it has good stats or not

How do you price these pets.
I made a cl 17 Vesp
6900 Health 6200 Action 6200 Mind
Kenetic Resist 29% the rest at 7% no Vuln.
Knockdown and Dizzy specials.
Speed 2.2
Damage 110-160
I also made a Spat with 7500 Health cl 21 with KD/Dizzy and 97 resist in Heat and 97 in cold.

Unless you need the cash desperately, I would have charged this guy a premium to make you drop what you were doing for him. Even 75K sounds cheap to me for a special order. It's one thing when someone special orders Stims or Furniture because the resources are easy to come by in mass quantities. I actually gave discounts to people who preordered. But special order creatures take a lot MORE work than if people just buy off your vendor. Special orders needed Immediately, even more. I say you let him off easy for under 120K..... But I tend to deal with high end customers.......

If it were me having the conversation with the guy, several red flags would have gone up. He clearly doesn't know how difficult what he's asking for is and he doesn't value your time.
It's not ALL about money, but in the time it takes to fly to a few planets, gather the DNA you need, and craft the item (no critical failures), you could make more than 60k just running missions. And, you could harvest meat and use in tissues for additional cash.
People like this fall into two categories in my experience. The first is the "uninformed nice guy." This person is well intentioned but just doesn't know what's involved or what's fair. They are receptive to listening to your explanations of time and complexity and in the end if they don't agree it's simply because they lack the funds. The second type is the "flaming a-hole." They don't read, don't listen, and demand that you defy game mechanics...nay...the very laws of physics to deliver Excalibur to them for 15cr. I take special delight in politey telling these people they are clueless and buzz off only to have them come back to me one hour or one day later and plead with me to help them...because they've obviously pissed everyone else off. Of course the answer is still no. These second type of "customers" just aren't worth the hassle at any price.
