I am this Combo...but dropped my fighting skills and all the un-needed medical skills...so I could Master Scout as well...so I could actually go out and get good DNA from Rancors and such things.

So now I am a MBE/MCH/MS

I was a Master CH and Master BE for months. I loved making uber pets and then using them. The remaining pts I had placed in Medic so I can use Stim D's to heal both myself and help on my pets along with my 1,500 pt Pet Stim D's. That combo of healing can really keep an uber 13K HAM pet in the mix for a long time...tank a krayt dragon and heal the pet for 1,500 on a pet stim followed right up with a 1,500 heal with a medic stim D..it's pretty powerful. Toss in some Trick's between battles and your good to go. For weapon skills in this combination...I did not have much but found using a pre-nerf Nym's carbine very useful. My Nym's does around 155 to 358 Acid damage and requires NO skills to use, not even base Marksman.

I have kept BE sine my other character is a Master Chef. It makes for a great combination. However I have now dropped CH to pursue a combat profession or two. Let me tell you why. It seems tanking with my pet is not nearly as functional now...NPC's just rotate off my pet onto me...which defeats my purpose of having the pet in the first place. Plus I was tired of taking forever to kill something. I picked up Master Pistoleer and made myself some uber Level 10 pets with high HAM....so basically I can still have a good pet in there tanking for me, which I can still keep healed, but now I do the damage instead of my pet. I liked Pistoleer but just dropped it for Master Carbineer. A great support profession but I think I liked Pistoleer better. Going to go Master Rifleman this weekend and see how I like it.

Bottom line: why tie up so many points in CH, a profession I really loved, when you can have pretty decent Level 10 pets that can tank for you...and provided you have good healing skills and great Pet Stim D's you can keep that pet in the mix as long as needed. Then you have pts to pick up skills for dealing out damage yourself.

I am curious how high anyone has gotten Pet Stim D's for a heal amount? I am sure this really is variable on different servers...I am at 1,583 as my high end Pet Stim D's.

Good discussion.
