Thread: Whats highest lvl creature we can sample?
I think the biggest difficulty I will have will be in building up a database of creatures to sample covering the entire spectrum of Cl's. To be honest up to now the higher the Cl the better, so I know where to find those. It'll take a little while for me to find "good" creatures of all cl's to sample from. Cl 30 for example, I can name around 10 creatures off the top of my head but which one is the going to be the best. (Quality, availablity, secondary abilities, etc.)
To quote Rip Torn "This is damned exciting stuff" This was exactly why I joined this class, the naturalist aspect, along with the mad scientist.
Weee took a side route. But an interesting one. I personally think it will not be hard at all to still make good top end pets. Not *THE* best, but pretty good. Look at bol crushers, and bolmas. Those are a couple of the higher lvl things. I think there is a thune that I sampled that gave 500 sample xp that was not aggro. That's roughly CL40-50 isnt it?
But like stated, the BE who has master scout, and ranger (maybe with the tracking line and whatever line gives +creature knowledge) is definitely at a supreme advantage. As they should be. They spent many points in class skills that complimented what they do.
BIO-engineer was never supposed to be a sit-in your house and craft profession. If there is any reasonable way to put be in a lab permanently it will be for rangers to get a way to trap and cage wild animals. Maybe a mutant rancor would take 4-5 rangers successfully trapping it with the same trap to cage. Then they bring it to the bio eng and he samples it. But since that is nowhere in the foreseeable future the ranger/BE will be the best bio engineer. (again as it should be).
