Thread: It's too cheerful here now...
Frankly it's the kind of people who I have been known to throw out of my lab for being annoying and somewhat impatient because I'm there making a clone at the station with them standing behind me saying.. is it ready yet? is it ready yet? are you finished yet? How long does this take?
That is shortly followed by them uttering.. why am I suddenly outside? Let me back in!
Well i didnt mean to twist it but it did sound alot like you were saying that our ranting and moaning was pointless in the end. No offense to you but defending Keldarin after what we've been through is still not a good thing in my book.
As for them listening to us I often wonder if things like the colors and a few of the much requested species are coincidence or not. I don't doubt that they listened to us when formulating this new system however during it's development they didn't even once give us an update and see if we aggreed with how things were going. The absense of anything which flys and any kind of snakes is a very minor complaint really but given at how it was one of the highest requested things it does make you wonder if they were listening.
Ya know who I really feel sorry for?
All our dedicated bretheren on the TC. You guys went through all the trouble to grind back BE on another server, or had the dedication go making things better to start there, and now all weekend you can't make ANY clones.
Thats harsh, I mean at least when it is broke there we still have the lame system over on proddie servers.
Good luck guys!
Now for the Bio-engineering side. For one you guys are finally going to have a chance to shine. Making creatures that a CHer will not only find to be more valuable then a tamed version, but more powerful as well.
Now why the sudden change of heart on my part? Well if you look back to all my posts on this issue, I was against this from the start as far as the Creature rebalance goes because at first it looked as though it was just the CHer pets that were effected, but after collecting more data and reading feedback from the testers I started to see the big picture. Our creatures will be weaker but so will the other MOBs. The player character will retain his/her power so that brawlers will be able to be the tanks of the team instead of "Kong" or "Killer" or all the other names you see on just about every pet out there.
This opinion is coming from a CHer with some commando skills. I am in no way affiliated with the BE class other then business partners, so in many ways this is an unbiased opinion.
Hi all BE's
This master CH is excited for the changes and I can't wait to get some nicely engineered pets from you BE's, I don't really know too much about your profession, but i am hoping you can make some killer pets when the chages happen. As soon as this goes into effect I am gonna contact my master BE friend and see what he can make for me. I am glad for you guys ![]()

I'm an MCH working on MBE. Iam excited about the new changes. As are many on the CH board. The reason you don't see that is because people who are happy with the changes don't continually post over and over saying how happy they are.
The CL and stat adjustments are perfect. The short sighted CH complains about it. They don't realize how many options will be opened up to them when they are able to control specials and buy decent BE pets. The dabblers, well, I guess they have a reason to complain but the tree did need a fix. A 3/2/0/0 CH should not have that much pet power. I think the new CH tree structure is flawless.
While your many many many posts here and in the CH forum are often intelligent sounding ones I've noticed that they are almost always aimed at starting a controversy and are an attempt to anger the CH community. I'm glad if you are happy that CH is being "nerfed" or adjusted or whatever. But don't you think you go a bit overboard? Let it go man.
You said you enjoy watching the CH's "whine and bitch" so there ya go.
You don't need to master the profession to know that somethings were unbalanced Nik. The fact that you can see Grauls being so favoured over higher CL critters shows you the problems externally and having been up to 2/2/1/0 I'd say I've seen enough of the CH profession to know that it needed to be revised like it has been.
The mechanics of how the profession works is exactly the same at master as it is further down except that the overpowering is amplified.
I'm hoping the rest of te new stuff makes it in early in the week. I have tons of time to test stuff on thurs. and fri.
The 1 star bandits are all over the place.. It has become a major hobby on a lot of the forums.. bored people at work I guess.

Actually, the mechanics can be very different - for instance, using 2 pets against DBing mobs instead of one that may be better suited gives you much less chance of getting one of your pets killed. In fact, there are a host of advanced options that open up once you get the ability to use 2 decent sized pets (CL20+). But even a non-CH only had to look around to realsie that there were a few highly favoured pets that were logically overpowered - as I've said before, its not the overall balancing I have issues with, its the way it is being done that I find hard to accept.
Have to say though that whoever is stalking Tal and one-starring him is downright pathetic (actually, I think he might have 2, since I five starred a few and that only got them back up to 2 stars)- get a backbone and argue it out with him if you have an issue, it can be quite fun ![]()
Looks like you've really stirred up the hornets' nest somewhere, Tal
