Thread: It's too cheerful here now...
.. I'm actualy have alot of fun watching the CHs bitch about how their pets aren't as uber as they used to be. I'm still chuckling over how they're looking at this situation totally the wrong way, did you know someone actually said they would have preferred the graul to be increased to CL50 as long as it kept their stats? I wasn't surprized to see that it was a master CH but I'm sure the non-masters wouldn't have enjoyed having one of their pets made unusable by an increase like that.
But yeah anyway, you guys are far too cheerful now I DEMAND you to be more miserable and worked up than this 
I'm not used to all this optimism and it's making me uncomfortable.
We were a angry frothing mess of a profession last week, we hooted hollard and bit each others heads off.......Strangly the tactic worked and we got exactly what we wanted..CONTACT FROM ABOVE. Were not going to be fixed for another month at least but we know its comming and in what form. You know we are a patiant lot, we just have our limits. Now were somewhat content for a bit.
Now CH's have something bad comming their way, bad enough to make the less stout of thier number squirm. Not suprisingly all of us here are watching wtih some amusement at thier predicment, alot of us even have MCH's of our own, but were not scared like they are, why?
Because our most broken half is being fixed, our most working half is merely being nerfed a bit. But in the laws of averages were comming out ahead, cause we will somewhat soon be able to make our MCH's exactly what we desire. The CH's on thier forum havent quite figured that out entirely, they only see the bad stuff. After a while the more stout members of thier group will figure out why some of thier MCH bretheren are unconcerned.
But i know you knew this already, just seeing if theres any sparks flying around still maybe? 
You know, it may seem that way, but the fixes going in had nothing to do with the ranting on these boards. It had everything to do with the fact that they were finally done after 3 months.

I'd say that the fact all of the talk and ranting on the forum did nothing is the sole reason to worry, the fact they went on to produce this system with zero communication and feedbackto the BE community doesn't sound like the SOE which only 2 months ago said that they'd improve community relations. The fact it's here is something to be happy about, the fact we had no part in it's creation is a very good reason to start being worried if we'll see anything for a very long time after this... reduced to an afterthought once everything works is not going to stop the ranting while other professions are getting enhancements.
And why did someone 1 star a comical topic? I guess some of the CH don't like that we're finding their lack of understanding behind the implications of the newCL system amusing.
Well I guess they never had a easy way out. They could either have increased theCL for those overpowered few meaning that a number of people would effectively lose their pets or they scaled them to the new system. It was gonna be a lose/lose situation either way and given the choice between taking something away and rescaling I'd say they took the right choice.
As a CH dabbler, I laughed my butt of after realizing that with the CH changes I will actually have MORE cl's than I had before. But I guess I'm not typical since I concentrated on the right side of the chart for mounts and for transfer. Noo...wait...I'll be losing three levels, because I just gained some from Emp4. Oooh, three levels.
Basically I think we have nothing to worry about. Those who took CH as a cheap means to an end will start looking elsewhere, and those who like creatures will stay, pretty much as it should be.
Heh, now you're twisting what I said around to say they don't listen. And I disagree there too. Much of what we got are things we asked for. Maybe we didn't get every clone type we asked for, but many were ones we asked for. Changing colors was also something we asked for. I won't argue the change has been slow and there comminucation hasn't been great, but it's still been better than what I've seen in some other MMO's. We do get heard, but to think we forced the dev's hand by ranting here I think is a little off.
