a bonus to cloning experimentation is NOT good.

it's already hard enough to target a specific CL without adding 'bonuses' to assembly, experimentation, and 'resource quality.'

I've raised this as an issue, but for right now? I'd specifically AVOID BioE-specific buffs.

Lamer please keep us updated re this, we are one of the professions that are well off cap and always will be due to resource gates on meats and titanium ali etc.

I was really looking forward to this and am now well dissapointed.

Cannot understand why we have been excluded in such a way as this.

I ran chef tissues on Wednesday and on Thursday with the new buff. In neither case did they have any impact on the experimentation potential of my ingredients. I posted the detailed results on this board yesterday, but I forget which thread it was in...

To the poster who got 8s - please go back and verify the results without the buff (as has been previously suggested). If that comes up with 7, then please post the resources that you used and the OQ/PE/FL of each resource.

I'll continue to let the devs know that this 'buff' is not helpful.

Great - now just be sure to also let them know that there are a number of us that are interested in receiving the 'buff' that we thought we were getting (i.e. meds, chef tissues, tailor tissues). I will defer to the actual pet crafters that they are better off without the buff, but I for one would still like to be able to get the buff that I thought I was going to be able to get...

Wait you can't understand how we where excluded in this way? Come on Mr.Desert you have been a BioE and long time you know the drill better than that. They like to get our hopes up the dash them against DeathStar sized rocks. Then Lamm comes along yells / talks to them a bit and the agree to try and fix it (all praize be to Lamm fixxer of BioE problems!!!).

Personally, I could only hope that we never get the buff. There seemed to be many against this last week and now everyone is upset that it's not working?

I got my first BE specific inspiration buff last night (after 2 hours of searching 3 planets for an ATK dancer) and apparently it's *supposed* to do what you all were expecting. I saw specific %'s to resources, experimentation, assembly, etc. but it didn't bump my 117 INNS's to 118.

I would speculate that this is just a bug and will be corrected since the buff icon does show that it's intended to buff the above mentioned attributes.

I'm also throwing in the towel on the whole "we don't need this" arguement since it seems nearly everyone here apparently wants it now. Not sure what I missedthat caused the mass change of opinion here, but I'll quit arguing for keeping BE crafting the way it is and just play the game.

I can appreciate that.

Another poster in the Artisan forums basically said the same thing. That the reduced %'s won't have much of an influence on most items.

But nowI fail to grasp the point of putting it in at all (just the resource buff), if it's been reduced to insignificant %'s??

I am very thankful they reduced it though.

I don't want to go against majority opinion here... as I've learned from lurking here for many months....most of you know what you're talking about and I also realize that I'm stillrelatively new to BE. So when I see some of your opinion's change...Ilike to find out why so I can have a better understanding of what's going on.

Roycroft - I could honestly live with it either way. I am thick skinned enough to survive the chefs and tailors who might not believe me that the BE buffs don't work for tissues, and I don't really need the buff to make a competitive product on Flurry.

I would like to see it because it adds a slight bit of complexity to the current crafting formulas which can provide an edge to those who understand it well enough to be able to 'craft' a product that meets the customer's expectations by using slightly inferior ingredients. In the 3ish months that I have been a BE, I have built up my knowlege of crafting well beyond what was required for the comparatively simple pre-CU doctor crafting formulas. Meds, and tissues are now just a matter of watching the spawns, taking the orders, and managing the factory allocations. I would welcome the challenge (though it would likely be only a few weeks before this wrinkle was fully understood and incorporated).

The 2% buff would not (in my opinion) make perfect tissues and meds commonplace, but it would make them something you could actually aspire to while still maintaining a high-throughput business.

The nicest thing a 2% increase would do is possibly allow materials that just miss being good enough for the next point to reach it. With the best stuff that ever spawned to maybe make perfect tissues. The important thing is that it will not be a free +1 stat boost. As Ojes says, it will provide an edge to those that know when to use it.

If you don't want the buff - don't walk into the cantina with your master BE tag up like i did tonight I just wanted an inspriation buff for combat and instead a nice master dancer gave me an unasked for BE buff which i didn't want and didnt' help but all the same it was nice of her ... just glad i had not planned to spend the evening crafting pets - as it was i had to put some experiments off until tomorrow.
