ROLFMAO. Maybe we need a pet leasing program. When the BH's can do player bounties we just send them out as collection agents.

Heh, some of you have much more patience with customers than I'm capable of! It usually just takes one insult or impatient demand for me to terminate a business conversation and potentially /addignore the guy.
I had a great one acoupleweeksago, from a frequent customer no less! The person accused me of pricing way too high, to which I replied that I price based on what I value my own time at and that my vendor has a very high turnover rate. Said customer then says a caring person would not give a care for the money and that the act of making a pet for a customer should be gratifying enough. Needless to say that conversation ended fast, considering I was feeling a bit temperamental that day. Yet not too suprisingly, this person still regularly shops from my vendor.

Usually everyone wants something right now, and they either don't want to wait or they think offering more credits makes it happen faster.
I created a form email using the in-game /notepad feature. I copy/paste it into a new email and that usually ends the tells right away. I figure if they can't read it and follow instructions, then perhaps they should take their business elsewhere. I also will never be actively taking special pet orders - if the order is doable and I have time, I take it, if not I tell them if I happen to make what they are looking for, I'll let them know.
For those on Kettemoor, I operate the Ishott Bio-Designs Zoo and Cantina, located at Arion City, Tyrena -3144 -1466. I have all the available clones on display, including a number of pre-patch clones.
I received a series of /tells the other day, as I was helping a couple of guildies clear out an opposition base that has spawned just outside our city limits. To paraphrase...
teller: how much for the kimo in your zoo?
me: you mean the display kimo against the far wall?
teller: yeah
me: it's a pre-patch clone, and is not for sale - pre-patch clones are bugged, and their CLs are reported incorrectly
teller: i want a cl1 kimo so i can call it with my other cl1 kimo
teller: so how much?
me: i told you're it's bugged and is not for sale
teller: well i'll offer you a million credits for it
me: /addignore teller

The previous posts pretty much covered the list of questions I get most often. You bring up a good point, Missile. Last week, I was just about to /addignore someone, but didn't, and it lead to a very big order. Here's the story, and I'm parphrasing from memory:
Newbie: Hi!u cn make cloths with bonus?
Me: Yes, I can make enhanced tissues that tailors can use to make clothing with bonuses to some skills.
Newbie: Sorry, I'm new. Just started this week. What cn u make for me?
Me: Well, what type of bonuses are you looking for? What profession are you?
Newbie: Rifleman/Medic
Me: Oh, good. How about an outfit with bonuses to Cover skill and Injury/Wound Treatment?
Newbie: Okay
Me: What kind of clothes do you want those enhancements made in to?
Newbie: Something for Rifleman/Medic.
Me: Right, but I can have my tailor make them into many different styles and colors of clothing.
Newbie: You pick.
Me: Okay, but I want you to be happy with your new clothing. What colors would you like?
Newbie: I kinda like black and red sorta thing.
Me: Sounds good. With a shirt, jacket, and pants, we can get a couple different tissues to stack so that you'll get a better bonus.
Newbie: Okay, how much?
Me: I've got to make the tissues, and have my tailor craft them into the clothes. Let me figure out what clothes to have him make and how many of each tissue I'll need, and I'll get back to you.
Newbie: Where are u? Cn I come pick them up now?
Me: No, I haven't made the tissues yet. Once I do, I'll get them to my tailor, and he'll make the clothes. I should have them ready for you in a day or two, depending on when he comes online next.
Newbie: Okay, good. I won't have money until tomorrow anyway. (now, if he didn't have money, how was he going to come pick the clothes up from me now, assuming I had some pre-made?)
(Next day, not even 5 minutes after I log on)
Newbie: Hi! Are the clothes ready? I can come pay u now.
Me: No, I dropped the tissues off for my tailor last night, but I haven't seen him online, so he hasn't made the clothes yet.
Newbie: Can't u make them?
Me: No. I'm not a tailor, I just make the tissue enhancements that are used in making the clothes.
Newbie: Okay, I'll look for a tailor.
Me: Well, I already made the tissues and gave them to my tailor. His girlfriend told me that he got stuck at work in RL today, so that's why he hasn't been on yet. I should have them done in a few hours when he gets on.
(45 minutes later)
Newbie: Hi, I found a tailor, can I come get the tissues from you?
Me: I don't have the tissues, I already gave them to my tailor.
Newbie: I found a tailor.
Me: Okay, but I don't have any tissues to give you. My tailor has them, and he'll be on a little while to make your clothes.
Newbie: But I can have this tailor make the clothes.
Me: Yes, but he doesn't have the tissues, and neither do I.
Newbie: Why can't u give me the tissues to give to this tailor so he can make the clothes?
(This went on for about 10 more minutes. The night before, I hadmade factory runs of 4 different types of tissues, so at this point, I only some scrap materials left over. After almost putting this guy on my ignore list 3 times, I checked my resources in the lab, and found that I had just enough to make a few individual tissues.)
Me: I'll tell you what, I can make you a couple tissues right now. They won't be as good as the ones that I gave to my tailor, because I used up my best resources already.
A fewminutes later, I had the tissues crafted. Not my best work, by far, since I resorted to using some of the "grinding" meat I had leftthat I usually use for crafting pets. I met up wth Newbie and sold him the tissues. The next day, I got a /tell fromhis tailor, who wanted to buy whole crates of several different types of enhancements. If you made it all the way through this post, then you too have the patience to turn an annoying noob into a several-hundred-credit order!!
