Don't sugar coat it Panthu. He didn't want to answer the real question so he found a BS question from the forum to answer instead. Par for the course.

He wanted to answer an easy one before leaving for vacation?
I guess that does personify the attitude of the development staff. Let's take the easy way out. Time and again they have demonstrated the propensity to do just that.
Sheesh...

Well, TH isn't the "Dev team." He really does have to get these answers. That takes time and he didn't have it.
I guess he picked something he really could work on himself. If he decides to help us go after this bug, it will be fixed a lot faster.

LOL! When I brough up that "you direct your attention..." bug, I figured it was something we could take on ourselves as an action item. You know, have everyone /bug it when they encountered it in-game, and see if we could get enough dev attention to fix a simple, long-standing bug.
Well I was pretty shocked to see part of my post used verbatim by TH as this week's question. Please don't blame me!!
So let's assume he pulled out that question because he wanted something easier than the REAL question Panthu submitted. What's hilarious is, he didn't even really answer the supposed "easy" question! He had to say "OK I'll look into it." I think at best you can view that as a "maybe."
Oh well. At least the answer wasn't "after JTL."

Being too busy to do his job is not a particulary good excuse Panthu, it's symptomatic of the problem though.

Well, I think that unfortunately TH gets a bad rep. After all, he is just here to answer our questions. But, he has to find out the answers first. If he doesn't get them, he can't give them. At least, I suppose he made an effort to give us an answer to something. I suspect this is more symptomatic of the rest of the dev team not having as much time to answer our questions, moreso than TH.
It's unfortunate that he's the one that has to bear the brunt of being yelled at for it.

As has been said over and over again, it comes down to priorities.
And yes, I do consider TH to be part of the development staff. The community reps are tasked with taking comments (read, requirements) from the community and formulating them for the development teams.
Come on people, let's not let job titles mask what is going on. Does anyone at SOE spend an appropriate amount of time formulating requirements documents for the development staff that encompass entertainer/dancer/musician/ID needs?
IMHO, no, they don't.

Oh, I forgot to mention. If you were to say, look at building ownership from the last Astromech post, you might get an idea of how many people have left the game.
Look at the stats... form your own conclusions.

Time to pick a new question - I know the last lot havent gone out yet and we've still not had feedback on our last question but we have to keep the ball rolling in case TH needs a short notice question again and I have to make one up

did someone ask the dev panels this at FF?
what do they say about giving a vendor at MBE equivalent to artisan 0030? It just seems fair, since BE is the only crafting profession that doesnt have nov artas a prereq, meaning you need to spend 15 more skill points to get your vendor than anyone else. BEs are also creature-resource dependent, meaning we need those skill points for some combat trees (in theory) to help us harvest meat; we cant just plunk down 5 heavy harvesters next to our house and never worry about resources again.
