im master ch, i just cant make these guys into mounts

BE animals not mountable i believe mate gotta go get wilds

uh the humbaba is from the wild, but the cupas are BE

is this a change since CU?

i have some mounts on my other toons from pre cu that were made from BE

be mountables wise only the dewbakc and the falumpaset will grow enoguh to be traine das mounts at non-ch levels this is onyl since the cu (and it wrecked my be's business)

The problem may be you can no longer train a pet as a mount from the radial menu.

The new training box will show 'train pet as mount' near the bottom of the box if the pet can be trained as one.

The only BE critters that can be trained as a mount for a non CH (that is, level 10 or below) are the dewback and the falumpaset, and the dewback is iffy. All other critters don't grow large enough at level 10 to accept the saddle art. This is a change since just after the CU when the devs changed the rules so that the size of a BE critter is tied directly to its level (which gives you level 65 kimas as big as greater sludge panthers).

Natural tames intended for the non-CH market should be ground up to full size (ten XP turnovers) before you train them as a mount, just to avoid any weirdness associated with being a mount, putting a saddle on a pet changes a number of behaviors.

You will not be able to mount train these cupas. The only BE'd animals that can be mount trained are, I think, dewbacks and humbabas. The others simply don't get big enough to take a saddle.

I have caught two giant carrion spats. Both were mount trainable immediately after taming, because they are large enough. The training command appears on the bottom of the interface that you use to teach other commands to your pet. If the command doesn't appear on that interface, the animal cannot be mount trained at that time.

There are only 2 BE made pets that can be mounted and be called by a non-CH: a CL10 dewback and a CL10 falumpaset.

BE pet sizes are coupled with level, so your cupas will never grow large enough to be trained as a mount. They would still be to small if they were CL10.

Also, as far as I know humbabas were never trainable as a mount. Not every large creature is automatically a mount (otherwise many would be riding around on rancors )

To train a creature as a mount, open the train window (by selecting the option "train" on the radial). The lowest option (but still above the special abilities) will be "Train pet as mount". This only shows up on mountable creatures when grown large enough.

savage humabas can be mounts...never tried a regular one but i dont see why it cant be a mount since its the same creature

Yes we can. I tamed a CL69 Lava Strider (with Self-Sacrifice L3 ability, very cool!). I did a little XP with the pet. I had to do only one cycle of XP before I was ablle to train it as a mount. :-)
