There's no need to ever let it get to that stage. Just do a little repair at your local station and head to Deep Space.

Not trying to argue or such, just wanted a jedi opinion on this. Im working on my jedi temp now, but currently im a bh. My question is why do a lot of you guys run away when we have your mark? Dont you feel embarassed or like a wimp or anything when you do it? Currently, about 1:2 or 2:3 of my marks run away somehow. I have a lot of respect to the jedi who stay and fight even though they see that they are going to die. And a lot more respect for the ones that beat me (cough cough master powers lol).

I mean i know it would suck for me if i lost like however many 100k of xp you lose for dying, but dont any of you get the satisfaction of staying in a fight till the end and being manly about it (no offense to the women jedi). Maybe i just dont understand the situation, but ive never quite got a hold of it anyhow.

there's nothing to gain by fighting...if we lived in a society where an infinite numberwild dogs roamed the streets and attacked anyone who stepped outside for any reason...eventually, even the most grizzled individuals would go tired of wasting energy kicking them in the head, or wasting amunition on them....and so, would just go about their buisness....now...if all the sudden, there was a reward placed for killing the dogs, then we'd see people make an effort to do so........there is nothing at all to gain...for most it doesn't even matter that there is the potential for loss....it's just that there is absoloutly no good reason to waste time being someone else (who does have something to gain)'s content.

make sense?

its very simple

BH gets DB payout = win

jedi gets DB on BH = win (but no reward)

jedi runs and gets away = win

There is no incentive to fighting a BH when you are still grinding your template unless of course you just simply choose to...

Here's a better question for you, and I'm also not trying to flame:

What is in it for US to stand and fight YOU? Really. Do we get removed from the terminals? No. Do we get xp for waxing you? No.

What do you lose if you die? Potentially, condition on your gear (and about 100 health wounds if you forgot to clone), but for most advanced MBH, you've got an ADK'ed set of gear, so some of you don't even risk that.

What do WE lose if we die? 2k xp per force skill point we own (max loss of 250 x 2k= 500k xp).

Frankly, most Jedi I personally have spoken with that DO run are either:

A) not willing to risk the loss of xp

B) not willing to provide content for another player (which is the job of the developers, not individual players).

It has nothing to do with feeling embarrassed or a wimp or anything else, at least for me. Nowadays, since I'm fully templated with pre-CU pearls, I tend to annhilate the MBH who comes after me ONLY because it takes longer to run. Sad state of affairs. But that's my take.

Sorry. Numbers were off. Fixed now.

Its because alot of people feel they have no incentive for staying and fighting and they have everything to loose so why bother. Others feel that they shouldnt be content for someone else and get annoyed by it so they are going to try to recipricate their annoyance to the annoyer. Others feel that in a role playing aspect of being a light jedi you should avoid confrantation at all costs because the force is meant to be used for knowledge and defense never for attack. I dont think it has too do with being a wimp its just different peoples play style choice. Untill the Devs either make jedi automatically have a snare and have to fight, make an incentive for Jedi to stay and fight, or scrap the whole jedi vs bh dynamic of this game i would say expect to see alot of it.Calling people whimps for not fighting only adds fuel to the fire and those that dont want to fight will probably run even more just to get back at you for saying that or generate vis and sit afk in their houses all day to waist your time as they feel you waist theirs. This is by no means an attempt to flame the op or anyone else for that matter. Im mearly stating the reasons that have been given by others.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

I have two things to say.

1. you can't blame a non-full temp for running when they need the xp.

2. BH/CM isn't that friggin uber, they go super slow since they don't have the speed mods of pistoleer/rifleman/carbineer so they probably won't have a root or a startle or something like that. Also a lack of attacks. Torso and critcal are the only good ones in BH. The only thing overpowered about CM is the thyroid rupture which needs to be changed to 25% like the doc buff. If you notice this, when a cm fully cm's you up they have lost half their mind right there. plus they miss alot lol.
