Yeah, more variety in mounts would be great... but there are probably technical/art issues preventing them from easily making more creatures mountable. Even ones with similar (but not identical) body shapes, like bageraset vs. falumpaset.

More mounts are on the Issue/Request list. The Devs also did say during the recent Stratics chat that they'd like to add some more creatures in the future.

I have a question about training mounts. Why is it that a CH has to wait so long before they can train a mount, wouldn't it be better to be able to train mounts sooner.

The reason for this is.. In the real world you cannot put a mount on a baby horse and ride it, because it will kill it. You need to wait until it gets older and stronger and the same is said in SWG. At themoment I see mounts selling so cheap, but us CHs should be charging like 50k for a mount and about 10k for training someone elses because it take so long to mount

Hmm ive recently been rewatching the SW movies and when I got to the part where the storm troopers were riding Dewbacks through the dester I started to think about why they used those over speeders. I origionally thought they used those over speeders because the speeders couldnt handle the sandy enviorment very well. But thenI noticed luke driving a speeder through the desert Ive noticed it before but thats the first time Ive really noticed noticed it. So if vehicles could handle the enviorment of tatooine in the movies why were they using mounts?

For the same reason we do, they look cool.

Actualy mounts are usefull in urban environments or where there are no roads and the like. They are faster than foot and more versitile than most vehicles. Although in SW repulsor lift tect tends to make that argument moot. Anyway SW is fantacy not sci fi.

maybe they werent using speeder because it would have made to much sense?

or maybe luke had a beta version of the landspeeder and the stormtroopers were stuck with the mount-only full version of the game

I think it was because they were searching, and if they were on speeders, they'd rush right over C3PO and R2D2 and not even see them due to the spawn lag.

On dewback, you're moving slow enough so you can see the spawns as they pop.

Also, yeah, mounts are cooler.

umm...........im not quite sure what you are asking but a CH can mount any mountable pet and the saddle dosent need resources it just kinda "appears" on the creature. If ya wanna know what creatures are mountable goto swgcreatures.com and do an advanced search.
