As can plain old humbabas.

The savage humbaba is the tallest mount in the game.

CH Mounts:

- Kaadu

- Cu Pa

- Wasteland Cu Pa

- Bol (BE?)

- Giant Carrion Spat

- Brakaset (Male & Female)

- Humbaba

- Savage Humbaba

- Dewback

- Mountain Dewback

- Bantha

- Bull Bantha

- Dune Bantha (?)

- Falumpaset (?)

Non-CH Mounts:

- Lesser Plains Bol

- Lowland Brakaset

- Motley Kaadu

- Carrion Spat

- Lesser Dewback (?)

- Plodding Falumpaset

I'm a little uncertain on the ones marked with a question mark. But I believe those are the mounts available in the game.

Motley Kaduu is not tame-able.

And I think the Plodding Falumpaset lost its tamable status also.

And I think pets now need to be around CL9-13 before being Mounted.
CL10 and below need to be 90-100% grown, but a Wasteland Cu Pa at CL13ish, I will check my Brackaset today as he will be around that level.

Both true. These two critters were brought into the game to be non-CH mount creatures, and for no one knows why, they were made non-tamable about the time of pub 6, the nerfbat pub from Hell.

The only acception to this rule is the Giant Carrion Spat, which can be trained as a mount right when it is tamed (due to it's size), and when it reaches a certain size, you will need to "stunt" it's growth to keep it as a mount, or if you choose not to stunt, it will no longer be mount trained, and instead will grow to full height and creature level.

How do I "stunt" a creature's growth? Is it an option on the radial menu? Is this option available just on certain creatures or on all creatures?

You'll get a message when you call your giant carrion spat, saying that you have to freeze its growth or it will become too large to serve as a mount.

The spat is then either frozen at that size, or reverts to it (if it's been a while since you called it and did not train it as a mount intially). If you do not exercise the option, it will grow to full in the wild size, and can never be used as a mount.

This option to "stunt" growth is ONLY offered on the giant carrion spat. At one time it was offered on the ravenous torton, but it was a bug on that creature. No other creature can be "stunted" at any stage of its growth.

Hi,

I just bought a BE cu pa that I want as my mount. It is CL 32 but only CL 3 right now. At what level do I need to find someone to train it as a mount? I don't have Man IV yet. Thanks.

As SioBabble said (regarding "stunting growth") - sorry, I was busy, didn't get back to the forums to answer the post.

Thanksfor the info!

If you have a P Falum or a M Kaadu then you can use them as mounts, but you cannot go out and tame a new baby currently. Just wanted to clarify this in case someone misreads the above statement.

Bier with me guys, I'm new to the Forums.

Anyway, what is the deal with the limited number of mounts? I'm sure you've had this question a thousand times, but realy why? I'm fairly new to the game, only been on for about 3 months, mastered Marksmen, Riflemen, and Creature Handler and just in being in the game I would think if it looks like you could ride it, you should be able to. Now I understand they have more pressing issues to deal with than what can and cannot be riden, but I think it's something that might need looking into.

Here's my reason, we have JTL coming right....and I know I'll be up there my fair share as well, but I'm a Master Creature Handler and unless my cats have a lil' kitty space suit, their usfulness is ZERO, we're gonna need reasons, for those less commited to the profesion, to want to be on the ground and playing. I feel we might take a hitinthe popularity and the usage because of it. Especially with the NCH's. I sell the NCH mounts, and this isn't about me making credits, I like doing it, and unless we have some kind of incenitive for these people to want a pet to ride, us MCH are goning to be the lonely few on the ground.

O.K. so that might have been a little more than 2 cents worth, so I'm done with that for now. I scimmed across something about CH Gatherings. I would love to attend. Please Please let me know about the new one, I will do everthing I can to attend.

Let me know what you all think.

Thanks for listening,
