Thread: MILK?
Bellor,
There is a nightsister next to the nightsister town ( just above the slave cave) that gives a broken mission to the singing clan/nightsister battlefield, that sets off the battle. Unfortunately even when you "finish" the battle and "return to this waypoint for your reward" she just gives you the mission over again, no reward, no mission complete, just more datapad clutter as it dupes the 'finish mission' waypoint over and over... I've done it like 5 times now. I didn't know about the milk in the containers though... mayhap I'll have to go back and utilise the broken mission to more of my advantage...
Another borked mission-giving NPC.

There is a Dungeon/city on Talus that has Debris piles in it that you can loot milk from. I just call it the Cat City because it's just a heap of buildings with Sludge Panthers in it (about 30 I guess). The piles respawn every 10-30mins on average and you have about 1 in 10 chance of getting milk. Made5 Swooper helmets and one decorative vest with CHer tissues in it and they work quite well (easy taming and tamed a Rancor at 4/4/1/4 CHer). Got another 3 tissues and milk for another 2. It takes a bit of time to get it but it's out there.
The cats are about 4km south of Nashal. Look up Alakazam in the fan links to find the exact waypoint.
Honestly, folks, you don't really need more than 25 milk to make 100k+. It only takes one unit of Passive or Active Tranquilizers to REALLY buff up someones CH, and since everyone knows milk is so rare, they're willing to pay quite a bit of it. I have paid more than 100k PER UNIT of Active Tranq before, and will happily do it again for the prices I can sell those clothes at! Keep it in mind, you don't really need THAT many to be useful.
One question I DID have though. Do you have to use the same milks for one BE component?
Please Dont go passing the certain citys location out.
It spoils it for the people that actually explore this game.
It should be kept a secret.
We need a viable source of milk, and so do the chefs. It's laughable that we don't have it.
Eggs can come from searching lairs, fish can come from fishing (but rarely in the quantities we need, unless you're a glutton for punishment). But milk? No reliable source.
I have milk, mollusks, crustacean and horn, along with several armor and clothing attachments, all of which I've looted from the same location. It does exist, it just requires a lot of searching. Last week was the first time since launch that I'd ever seen milk in the game...
I loot eggs out of lairs. Usualy 10-15 lair kills per 2-5 eggs. Doen'st matter what kind of lair. And is usually a different kind so it wont stack.
Eggs are easy to come back, actually pretty abundant. Eggs stack just like any other resource. If you find them all on the same planet during the same resource shift they will stack. I probably have about 20 or 30 stacks of 200+ eggs in my inventory. When I am running to my harvesters I make sure I search every lair on my way. I usually get between 2-7 eggs per lair in around 70% of the lairs. the other lairs either have "Nothing of interest" or insect samples, which I promptly destroy.
Milk can be found in, I am told, two separate places as spawns. One of those places is the abandoned City on Talus or as it's more well know as GSP city. There are some garbage piles in there that spawn 3 to 11 milk every hours or so. I hear from a Citymate that there is another location that spawn milk in the same way but he won't give the location.
Personally I don't agree with this method of putting Milk into the game. It encourages camping of those garbage piles and pretty much makes the items which need milk not worth the cost of the milk that is needed to make them. I mean really, is a Tranq cloth really worth the 200k (for a stack of 25 milk) plus time and other resources that go into one? I don't think so...
As for fish, they're just as abundant as eggs, you just have to be willing to put up with the tedium of catching them. My solution to this is an upgrade to the fishing pole called a "net". You toss the net into the water, like many of the island fisherman still do, producing a larger catch.
I had the same problem with eggs not stacking. When you loot the lair, the few eggs that you get just sit there as a separate stack. If you pick them up with your mouse and drop them on another stack of the same type of eggs, they'll add to that stack. I built up a stack of 101 eggs in a couple of hours riding my kaadu around the spawn areas north of Theed, up to the coast and around the west back down. I'm a ranger, so my mask scent is pretty good, so I was able to go straight up to yellow or red mob lairs and search the lair while mounted. It doesn't take too long, really.
I also found that eggs will automatically stack if I move them from my inventory to a storage pack I have in my house. So they stack, just not as automatically as regular resources do when you harvest them off a dead mob.
I agree with Rianna.
Many items are quite rare in the game and they should probably stay thay way. It keeps us searching, exploring, etc. If everything's at our fingertips things can get a little dullwhen resourcegathering and craftings items. Not to speak of what it does forproduct demand and the economy. I mean think about it - its so cool when I hear go search out some ancient city on such and such [there's mystery, danger, the unknown- hey its the fun of the game].
