Hello Weaponsmiths, I was wondering if any of you have had a customer come to you and asked you to make a sword using Legendary Rancor Teeth. I've been massacring Rancor day and night on Dathomir and I haven't found a single one that was better than the crap 5-50 damage ones. On the other hand I've found PLENTY of higher quality bile, and padded armor parts. Not exceptional, but you know, the loots where the first object turns up green. None of these loots on teeth though.

Are these teeth just a rumor?

If you actually made a sword with one of these and remember the stats I would love it if you could post them for me. Thanks.

I made Rancor Ryyk Blades, Two Handed Curved and One Handed CUrved swords using teeth ranging from 16/86 thru 13/97 damage. THey only added .437speed as well.

Rancor teeth are used as an optional component in swords, as a replacement for a crafted sword core. I've never been able to find what standard crafted core stats are, so it's hard to tell whether a rancor tooth is good or not. Try posting the stats in the weaponsmith forum and see whether you get any bites there. Um...no pun intended. No , really.

Every Rancor Tooth I have had used in swords have made the weapons suck. Damage is raised a little bit but speed is doubled (twice as slow, almost) and HAM costs are higher. Definitely not worth it, IMO.

is that what they are used in then? in crafting a sword to "make it better"?

Rancor Bile is used in meds. I forget which component it replaces, but I hear it majorly increases the uses for items the Bile is used in. That could be how I got poisons with 89 uses instead of the normal 40 or so.
