DO these make that big of a difference on Pet stims?

I know I can buy reg comp's for 1/2 the price and if i only loose 50-100 per heal it may be worth it

Thanks

Try making an adv BC and experiment on it. Then check the number of charges. I think 10-15 is a typical number. These add on to the number of charges you would have gotten with a regular BC. Which means an added 50-66% of total healing power. I've never had problems finding the resources for less than 6 cpu. So the resource cost increase is trivial compared to the benefit.

Now try the adv Liquid thingie, which I think increases the power per shot by ... 45 max I think I got. Don't remember. Which is a pretty nice thing. But remember that if you use the two together, the improvements MULTIPLY. And that kicks butt.

The third component doesn't have as much impact if I remember right. But you do all three and you're getting about twice as much healing per stack.

I find the nice adv components from master docs help nicely.

considering for examply my crappy liquid suspension are about 40-50 power and his are 152

as well as his biological effects controller have more charges built into them than mine.

If you're going to use adv components either buy them from a master doc or get a master doc to do you up a schematic. I would say adv components are worth it for stims but don't use them in vit packs, they won't make a difference.

YES!!

They make a big difference! but you have to get a master doctor to make them!

They can be upto double strength

Adv. Liquid susspension isn't all that great for petstims. Mainly because you only get around an extra 10-20% for the actual healing amount. If you take a recent batch of stims I ran off which used the same components expect one batch had adv. LS (164 power) then you find that the normal ones were around 730/19 and the advanced ones were 789/19. So for all of that effort you're only gaining around 60 bonus for the healing. However.... the bio controller is a very very handy component for boosting charges, taking an example from past instances i used to get around 16 charges(this was from a different supplier than my very good current one) and with the adv bio it hit around 24. All for the sake of one component.

Chem release isn't really going to change much, it's a general additives to charges and power. The bulk of the power is from the LS. But the BIO for petstims is a real godsend since we have such low charges anyway by comparrason to the power of the heals.

Tal, youve gotta take a look at the stats on the components. If you are only getting 59 extra effectiveness from advanced LS you are using poorly made components. 170 extra points to effectiveness is a HUGE deal and is enough to bump you considerably higher tna another master using all the same ingredients but making his own components. in the case of stim B's the ALS i use are enough to push me 35% higher effetiveness and about the same on charges.

although the actual % bonus is lower with higher grade stims (only because they have inherently higher healing power) the boost is still considerable: do most people want 1050 x28 C's or 1220 x 35 C's? thats the question because thats the difference good advanced components can give you.

On Lowca, we have had back to back shifts of crappy stuff. Much of it has less than 100 OQ on CLass 4 and Lok WW.... and herb meat with less than 100 PE. Dath Insect at under 500 OQ. Given that, I always do Pet stim c's that vary from 29 times 1k to 34 times 1040. This is using schematics made by Master Docs.

I said the LS was 162, thats about as good as they get in many cases. I have to disagree that they raise it by 35%, the soft cap which limits you seem to kick in from around 700-900. So on the whole they not much different to my normal stim Bs. Indeed an extra 80-100 points of healing is a joke.

If any of my doc friends log in tonight i'll give you hard numbers by having him craft me a few non-advanced components, but my experience with pet stims is that advanced components make a world of difference in the marketability (and repeat customer generation) of pet stims.

In order of importance (if you're on a budget):

  • Advanced BEC (experimented for maximum charges)

  • Advanced LS

  • Advanced CRDM

I often use normal CRDM's in my B's because there is the least impact on the final product (usually around 50pts of power) and Advanced CRDM's can be very costly to make (decent herbivore meat sells for upwards of 25creditsa unit on Intrepid).
