Thread: Attention Devs
Wanna give me a list of what you think is acceptable and not over powered pets?? Becuase now I am making pets that are usless!
You limit what can be called but not what can be made.. After patch I just made a CL 7 pet with 9.8K HAM. But cant be used.. Wanna get your heads out your rears and list what you changed or should I just take wild guesses at what "Overpowered should mean". But once again I am sure no one will know. This post will turn into some "I think this is what it is" and more useless none Dev stepping to the plate and given any information. Thanks!
And congradulation all you BE who wanted this self nerf.. Atleast I made more money then god..

Yea I am patting myself on my back. I dont care about you or anyone who sat on thier high horses not doing thier job.. That is making pets for thier customers. It is not my job to determin what is right and what is wrong. My job is to PUSH the edge of what can be made to give the most value to my customers. And I am doing it.. But now I can push to the point of being useless becuase the dev are to retarded to actualy HARD CAP it or atleast give a listing of what can be called and what cant be.. Or I have to now sit there and do thier jobs for them by figuring it out by making 6000 pets all with differant HAMs..
Pat myself on the back.. **edit** skippy! I am a god... Why?? Becuase I did my job instead of getting on a soap box and wishing and praying for my "Common Sense, Self Nerf" am I upset about this? No.. Not even close.. Am I upset about the fact once again the devs NINJA NERF with no information..

This is not a rant.. This is just something I felt I needed to post.
You created Bio-Eng.. You made them pure crap.. They just plain sucked...
Then you change us to make us an art form.. Something outside the norm of the game.. You made me actually start to feel something for this game.. The fact that I could take dna and mold it to something that was ethier really good to REALLY bad..
Then you come back and change it to the old system with 1 change.. The ability to mix and match creatures.. WOW STUNNING WOW!
This new system you "FIXED" sucks.. Plain and simple.. I now have to go out and dig up some hard to get DNA of a creature that at best will be 98% of thier stats.. Now I can choose to ethier put 5 of these VHQ samples in to try and make a copy of that creature.. Or mix in other DNA.. Which really does nothing other then make them worse.. Worse I say.. For the fact that when you combine the creatures DNA you guys take the DNA and rip half the stats off it.. So now you have to expiriment it back up to get it to the 98% BEST case of it with no failures.. Then you can make a creature that is average resists (and that drops it down) then makes a creature that is no REAL difference other then a water down version of that creature in a new body.. Thanks for actually thinking that through..
As for all you players who feel this new system is "IN-LINE" your dumb.. And passive and bend to the will of the devs.. The devs gave no real thought to this.. They want to BALANCE the game based on CH's.. Thanks devs for making us the kicking boys for the CH's again.. Try making less CH's in the game and more other professions.. Becuase it is to out balanced now.. And maybe give a little thought to making a profession that isnt just plain crap... Becuase this was a good professions before you nerfed it AGAIN.. That is cold blooded to hang a carrot in front of us only to RIP it away..
Sanity Check:
I know there needs to be balanced.. And a NON-CH creature that hits for 200-300 with 10K ham is just wrong.. But all you people put to much into HAM and not into what the CH truely should be used for.. I use my creatures purely for DPS and tanking.. Without the DPS of my creatures I am pure crap.. I have pistol 4.. WOW! I can really deal out the big damage.. If it wasnt for the 1K+ damage my 2 creatures are hitting for I would be there all day.. And you guys with your "10K ham 30-40 damage creatures make it so no one wants to be a CH there is no bennfit to it" Can just die.. Becuase if you think that isnt balanced do the numbers after you remove your heads for your butts...
Commando doing 3K damage
Master CH with 3 pets doing 500 damage = 1500
Command doing 3K damage with a pet with 10K ham hitting for 30-40 now doing 3100 DPS
Master CH with 3 pets doing 500 damage and shooting for 1200 with Pistol skills = 2200 DPS
What is the bonus.. THE COMMANDO HITS MORE AND HE IS WINNING!! OMG!! But you dont think.. He has 3 tanks.. If the NON-CH pet drops he has to deal with the creature.. Where if the MCH loses a pet he has 2 others still tanking.. THAT IS THE BONUS..
HAM should not matter.. DAMAGE should.. BALANCE THE DAMAGE IN THE GAME DEVS!!! That way there is no bonus for any of it.. It is all a matter of choice at that point.. CH's are too dang powerfull now.. TOO! I can kill almost anything in the game with no RISK to my REWARD.. Think for once..
Back to BEing.. You nerfed it again.. It is now useless.. I want to see someone make a good pet now.. Something that is better then the wild version.. YOU CANT! You will lose in 1 to gain in another.. What is the bennifit? Nothing.. It is a pho-change.. And the devs think this smoke and mirrors will make me happy.. Nope it wont.. Bring back the old system instead of this pure crap you just developed..
I am disgruntle as heck right now I will tell you that.. I have wasted almost a year of my life in BE now for nothing.. The hope is dead.. And I am looking at other professions to move to.. As sure I can keep curn and burning out Pet-stims like before WOW! And make copies of crap.. ISNT THAT SPECIAL!
For all you people reading this that want to add stupid "No it isnt comments" start your own thread as I dont want to hear from you or your opinions.. As you dont mean anything.. This is directed to the DEVS and to the BE head of what ever crap division that just invented this garbage..
Yes this is harsh but I am soo frustrated right now.. This has nothing to do with money, has nothing to do with any other then the fact that I was just given an artistic TASTE of happiness only to have that taken away to make me static and limp once again.. Great we all can make the same crap the same way again.. Can we just make this easier and just remove the DNA samples from the game and just click on the creature and say "Give me 98% of this crap PLEASE"
I am sure I will be ignored or just banned. But at this point I am poised on the verge of just finding another profession or another game out of pure frustration for the lack of thought.

this is the first time ive ever posted on swg forums since i didnt really care about anything beforebut this is fodder that they actuallyturned a **edit**professionmade it actuallyfun and then nerfed it to hell in about 3 weeks time... BE was the first profession that i actually enjoyed till they just messed with it
That's 2700 DPS btw. And who said CH was a combat class? That is like saying the guy with the chair and whip at the circus should be able to take on a proffesional soldier....too funny.

After reading Dablingbling's post, I have to agree... BE was useless, then it was good, now it's useless again...
GEE !! Let's make this whole damned game useless... There are other games out there. We also have this OTHER thing called RL... We could always try to master the skill CAREER in RL.... WAIT no... the economy is crapolla... we have to play games instead of work... /sulk /shame
If I'm going to play a game, it's gotta hold my attention (Star wars has that capacity), it's gotta be fun to play (star wars galaxies seems to find anything in the game that's fun and take it away), and it's gotta have people who are fun to play with (SWG has a 50/50 mix of these fun people... ANYONE who replies to this thread saying ANYTHING other than BE is **edit** right now is the part of the 50% that sucks ass in this game, and any other MMORPG).
BE was good. It gave people who weren't CH's the chance to carry on their professions and still be able to venture outside their homes in search of hides, bones, etc, to further make MORE **edit** to FURTHER support the PLAYER DRIVEN ECONOMY (which is a farce because of the **edit**ty way the bazaar works).
Limiting "useful" creatures to only CH's, and making the BE a 3rd rate Xerox machine, again, will only serve to push more people away from this game, including yours truly.

Actually stumbled into the proffesion of Bio Engineer. At the time I was VERY happy I did. Now though .. I have 52 skill points to spend.
What cracks me up is the BE's who are so used to the status quo of being sub-par to CH's in pets.
