Thread: PETITION to release the Max CL 10 HAM!

With all the se BE changes over the last few patches, it is imperative that SOE let us know what the max stats/HAM on a CL 10 is. After most of my pets were deemed invalid (last patch) I formulated a new recipe and had what I thought was a batch of valid CL 10/9's. Now, i have a back stock of @#$%! I can sell them as lvl 12's, or let people buy them and get them nerfed to a 750 HAM!
Also, anyone know if the crafting stage is fixed? (i.e. Do i still make the same invaloid pet with the same DNA? OR Does my lvl 9 now come out as a lvl 12? if this is still broken, then I'm at my end)

....and then no matter how hard we get nerfed, we still keep CH because we are still some of the coolest characters on the game.

It is rather obvious now that there is a complex algorithm that determines this. Based on all the different stats, there could be a great many different valid cl10 stats. That number could be VERY large. With that said, there is no way for them to tell us since they don't even know. If they knew, the system would work, right lol. The only way to tell us 100% would be to give us the code (bug free) and let us run the numbers...

Since the system does not work, there is really no way to tell us since the cl is based on a broken algorithm. They could give us a general idea but it would not reflect the limmits of what a non ch pet can be. It would still be a gamble to make the *best* non ch you could.

Until they get the code straightened out, knowbody will know and everything we make is subject to becoming invalid at some point.

Anyways, keep the bugged algorithm ,and the exponentially possible non ch stats, in mind when demanding this info *shrug*

I am still signing anyways though

Since they're rolling back the crafting system changes in a hotfix wed morning a good portion of this discussion is somewhat moot.

The crafting changes went live, they'll go away tomorrow, then we get to complain when things work they way they are intended to for the moment.

I had a lvl 8 durni 1200 h 1321 a 1244m no resists 40-50 dmg

i called it today and it was invalid. i'm like **edit**? adjust stats. Now i have a carbon copy of a wild pet all 600 to all stats. this is bull if you are going to make our pets like this what is the point of BE? our largest comunity is lvl <10 pets and i have not heard a single complaint about a lvl 8 pet with 1200 ham. you don't even notice something like this in PvP. i got attacked by some overt imps 3 days ago with my durni out. one of them incapd him with one shot then moved on to me. these pets are uber PvP pets they are there to help us poor BE's with no combat skills run away from humbaba's trying to kill us for sticking a needle in it's arse.

Please dev's i have been one of your bigest suporters about all the other nerfs but this one is the worst by far in my opininon and i'm only 1/1/0/3 in BE!!!

The crafting system you will see today is going to be revolked.

When you experiment the amazing success rate is higher but the stat change is lower (makes the whole thing pointless). Its much more difficult to make low end DNA into a marketable animal. I can only imagine it would be very difficult to make a CL70 animal now. I don't know for sure because I'm not willing to waste my mutant rancor DNA trying to find out.

There is a check in place that makes some animals invalid. I've seen it applied to CL10's. I'm not sure if it effects higher level animals but it wouldn't surprise me. It doesn't surprise me that the animal check isn't in the patch notes either or that Talth wasn't aware of it.

I have no clear idea what you said, or meant to say.

I do understand the part about wanting to know what a valid CL10 is, but that's been the question of the century already and you asking it again won't get it here any quicker.

I curious to know what you meant by "the crafting stage fixed". Was there somethign wrong with a particular stage of crafting that I didn't notice?

My feeling is that we'll still get the same pets from the DNA we combine but they will be checked later and deemed invalid as they are brought to life, and either adjusted at that time or just not allowed to be tamed. The reason we're in this mess is because there are just too many possible combinations of dna and crafting qualities to possibly predict what can be made. So, to our benefit, they haven't nerfed us to only sample certain creatures, making their job easier until they find the real solution. So be thankful they're thinking of us in that respect.

Shhh. They probably haven't thought of that yet.

Wokka was curious what i meant by crafting fix....let me try to lay this out...
Under last patch, I made a slew of CL 9's, 1200/2000/1400Ham. Now, these lvl 9's are invalid and if you fix the lvl instead of tha stats (on the new invalid pet screen) the lvl comes out to a 12.
So, my curiousity is, using the same DNA combo as I used to make my lvl 9's, what will the CL be? Will it be an invalid lvl 9?(in which case i'm pulling my hair out...means there is no way to tell a pet's validity until it is tamed) OR will it come out to be a lvl 12? (which is what the game is telling me the creature should be)
I hope that explains it (and if anyone has an answer, I'd love to know...is crafting invalid pets fixed???)
