nice work man

i used 9 crafting stations and i think i used the armoursmiths macros. good to have several stations as the lag sometimes screws the crafting up,skipping one tool.

LOL, seeing those numbers sadens me... makes me know how long it will take to master a profession I love in time... I am not a holo grinder... but damn, that is gonna take some work.

Actually, when you think about it, it isn't that bad. Honestly! I have 5 crafting tools and a grinding macro, every time I have to wait a few minutes for a shuttle, I start my macro. I can probably run through all five tools in around a minute (maybe less); so if you have a four minute wait, that's 20 micronutrients and 2000-ish XP. How many times per play-session are you sat waiting for a shuttle? Possibly 4 or 5 in an evening's play? That's getting on for 8 - 10000 XP a night. And my estimates are pretty conservative I would say. The only ting stopping me is my current lack of Creature / Flora food.

Nice work. However as I've been grinding I changed from Micronutrient supplements to Broad Spectrum Nutrients. Higher resource requirement, not as restrictive as the other (but just as loose as micro) but more xp per tissue. Running 5 tools right now.

Ok well, I've kept my secret long enough. I came across this while trying to use up some of the micronutrient suppliments I was grinding away. I did not practice craft, I was creating prototypes. Once my inventory was full, I filled a backpack with them and stuffed the pack into factory hopper to store for the time. Did a few more backpacks full. Now to make use of them. Was going to use my other character to create some cheap bio-enhanced blap buscuits to sell on vendor with pets. Logged in with my artisan / novice chef character, so you could just as easily use a novice chef buddy. Mixed up the micronutrient suppliments with 10 units water. Did all those back packs I had stashed away. Used some to make blap biscuits (the non experimented additives still brought pet health from 600ish to 900ish). So I logged back in with my bio engineer and had gained a fair amount of xp. I dont know just how much I was getting, but surely if you have a friend to mix for you, you'll use less meat and flora and get the xp faster. Have no idea if you will get the xp if you mix it yourself. The additive doesnt need to be used in food, just mixed with the water.

I ground out all three crafting trees for BE in about 10 hours total game time, if that. Here's how I did it:

  • Constrictor cloths up to Tissues 1: 105 XP/craft, 2880 Meat + 1920 Flora

  • Hyper Yeast Additive up to Tissues 2: 126 XP/Craft, 4780 WILD Meat + 9560 Cereal.

  • Hyper Yeast Concentrate up to Tissues 3: 136 XP/Craft, 7360 Wild Meat + 16560 Cereal.

  • Broad Spectrum Nutrient Supplements up to Tissues 4. 168 XP/Craft, 9540 Meat + 28620 Flora.

  • Edible Nano-constrictors for the other two crafting trees. 51270 Wild Meat + 68360 Cereal + 42725 Vegetable

The above method is better than the standard constrictor cloth/micronutrient/broad spectrum nutrient method in that it gets you through your remain two crafting trees a lot faster. The limitation is that it requires wild meat, which I was lucky enough to find.

Using this method, you can get by with the following resource requirements:

  • 42,725 units Vegetable (tubers, greens, fungi, beans, etc.)

  • 75,830 units Wild Meat (or 12,410 any meat and 63,410 wild meat)

  • 125,020 units of Cereal (wheat, oats, etc.)

Once you hit edible nano-constrictors, the 199 xp/craft really makes things go faster and it uses less resources overall.

"50k exp per day"

my crafting macro turns out a little over 500 exp every 30 seconds, 1000k exp a min

so if your only playing for an hour (and want to master fast) thats 50k an hour (boring as hell hence im not a master)

Using the same sort of macro setup on my alt tailor (and only 4 tools but cartridge belts give 299 in practice mode) I can verify that it's much better (ie, quicker) to make something requiring more resources (and thus giving more xp).

You're right, andmy initial post was really a typo. I meant to say it takes lesscrafting attempts overall, not that it usesless resources overall. My bad.The amount of resources you need to get the XP is a fixed amount, regardless of what items you craft.

In other words, if you have to get 200,000 XP to master a profession, you're going to need 95240 resources, not matter what you craft. [(95,240 x 2) x 1.05 =200,004] Now, you could craft something giving 100 XP per craft, or you could craft something giving 200 XP per craft. The only difference is the number of clicks. The resources you need to get you there will be the same.

6 Crafters, 5 second macro:

30 seconds = 630xp

1 minute = 1260xp

1 hour = 75,600xp

First day, 3/3/0/4 ran out of meat.

Second day, 3.5/4/0/4 ran out of meat.

Third day, today, gotta buy meat.
