I'd like to know this too. I've got a factory deed sitting in my inventory for just this reason

You get xp for items made in your factories

It's a percentage and a small one.. Got a fellow weaponsmith that's been tinkering around with it lately and he says it's about 10% of the total amount you'd get for the weapon. In other words... Use them for selling your weapons, not as a grind tool.. Which is I'm sure the reason's the dev's put such a pittance percentage on the weapons being made by them.

You do get usage exp out of the weapons though /shrug

DeathsDoor, you do get full xp from factory, it's just slow.

And I'm pretty sure that UXP from factory is non-existant because most my weapons are factory made and I get maybe 200 uxp a day if i'm lucky =P

As of the end of beta, factory made items only gave you 10% of the crafting xp you got from making the item by hand. Haven't tried a factory in retail since the market is so oversaturated anyway, not sure that destroying a crate of a hundred guns is more statisfying than making them by hand and destroying them anyway.

Hi Iwas wondering exactly how factories help. I mean its nice that you can make alot of items if you have the resources and not have to do a bunch of clicking. But do you get the xp for each item made still or do you just get the item?

I'm not entirely sure what's up with factory exp, but you're supposed to only get 1/10th the experience for factory-made items.

There are a few reasons for a factory. For people who make items that need experimentation to be any good, you can make a schematic and produce a ton of items with those same good experimentation results instead of having to experiment on tons of things individually and risking screwing up.

Another reason is that higher level items require a good deal of sub-components, and it can be easier to make those items in a factory so you don't have to create them yourselves.

The third use for them is that higher level items require multiple identical subcomponents. Only factories can make identical components.

Hi guys,

I havesome questions about these factories:

Let's say you craft scopes, handlers, barrels etc... and they turn up as an great or amazing success and insted of making them you make a blueprint (end up in your datapad).
If you now have a factory can you then insert that blueprint scope for an example then insert the amount of materials for example 10 of them and hit the button will it then make 10 scopes = amazing success if your blueprint was amazing when you made that one??? Or is this factory only there for making the items faster ONLY?

Let's say you have a pistol blueprint, to make that gun you need barrel, handler and materials, but if you insert that pistol blueprint into the factory do you need to feed the machine with barrels, handlers and materials for the amount of pistoles you want or do the machine calculate ALL materials to make the gun so you only insert materials??? Do the machine produce that pistol in that success you made the blueprint in???

Thank you all who answer!

factories are useful to :

- craft your experiments results

- click saving

- do something else while crafting

- never fail

You don't get 1/10 of normal experience, this was fixed in beta, you now get all your regular XP.

Actually in beta you got full XP from factories and they wanted to change it to 1/10th the exp (since it requires virtually no work).
