Can anyone please help me figure out how to find out what draft schematic slot an item is instead of by trial by error?

Thx ahead of time.

How do you create draft schematics?

Start crafting near a crafting station. Public or Private. make the schematic that you wanna creat. You will come upon a page with Experimentation, Create Proto Type, or Create Schematic. Just click there and set the quantity.

That can be tough. You can count the number of schematics from zero to the position of the desired schematic, ignoring schematics that can't be made by the specific tool you're using (i.e. you can't make a camp with a medical tool so ignore that schematic). I generally try to get into the ball park and then count the difference in schematics to the one I want. It's a bit trial and error but it works. Also, if you're using a macro with several builds you can plug in a range of number to more quickly get the right schematic #.

Am i being stupid but how the hell do you use the draft schematics YOU make, i've tried everything, sounds like a great idea but i can't see it on me craftin tool or anything, i would love to make more than one thing at once it would save everyone a lot of time, i have asked around loads in the game but no one seems to actually know................

Yours doin it,

To use a schematic that you make you need to have the appropriate type of factory for the item. So if you make a schematic for a Scout Blaster you need to have an Equipment Factory to use it. Then you can put the schematic in the factory, put the resources in the input hopper, and start the factory making items.

Of course you will need energy and credits to keep the factory running. I believe a factory uses 1200 credits and 1200 units of energy every day.

Does anybody know what schematics you datapad starts with when it counts schematics? Or does anybody know a way to sourt out the schematics so you know were to start counting from when you want to find that correct schematic? Ihate having to hunt a guess what number the schematic is that I want to grind with.

Anybody have an good way of finding this out rather than just guessing?

It's different every time, depends on your skill level. All the schematic numbers move when you gain a new schematic.

You gain draft schematics as you learn skills in a profession that uses them. There are, however, some special schematics that are gained from loot or quests. Mandolorian, however, is different from the rest entirely. It is crafted entirely within the Death Watch Bunker with material gathered there along with a piece of Bounty Hunter armor. There is no draft schematic (in the same sense as the rest) for Mandolorian armor.
