I have just picked up BE and was wodering what the best tools are to craft the best creatures and stims. I dont have any artisan so I cant use the staitions, so do I need to pick that up or can I use other devices such as food and chemical crafting tools and still get good results.

Hello and welcome to the wondrous BE profession (sarcasm?)

You don't need artisan to use crafting stations, public or private. I would recommend getting two or more good quality F&C craft tools and, if you can afford it, an F&C crafting droid. Pet vitality packs, one of our better selling items, require a private crafting station or droid to make. Early on, experimentation with BE produces bad results as often as good - I've advanced a few tiers and I still don't bother experimenting most of the time. If you choose not to experiment, you'll only need crafting stations for the more complex items like vitapacks and dewbacks.

Best of luck!

You don't use the crafting stations. You stand at them and use your normal crafting tools. When you are at a station it will allow you to use more schematics that you cannot make if you are not standing near some sort of station.

Well I fixed the crafting station through a relog, now I can not seem to have the option to even create a pet vital or stimpack. I am very new to this profession so if someone could tell me how to do this I would be very greatful. Thanks

I believe you need to have Tissue Engineering 1 in order to make the Vitality Packs. If you are just a Novice...that could be the issue. Look at the schematics you get as you move through the skills trees.

I believe that pet stim1 is in novice, but it will not show up in any of my schematics. I have no idea why this is, I have bought a droid and used a crafting station, but still no luck. I can sample tissue and a few other novice things, but no luck on stims yet. Thanks to you guys for the help so far.

Yes the Pet Stimpacks are a Novice BE Schematic. So if you are using a Food & Chemical Crafting tool, standing next to a Food & Chemical Crafting station, with the Tissue Tab open on your Crafting tool...it sould be there. If not.....you might be SOL....time to pick up a baster and kill some Whomp Rats!

Hope it works out!

Ok, here is what is going on now. I have novice BE and the pet stim schematic did show up in my data pad after I logged. However, it does not show up in the schematics listed when I try to use my crafting device. I have a food and chemical device (I think this is the one i need) and I bought a droid and tried it at 3 different F & C stations. I am a little baffled.

you dont have or have a droid to be able to craft the items. there is a bug with the Crafting stations that are placed in town where they dont work. if you dont want to buy a droid you can just buy a crafting station from an architect and use that one. the schems will show up on that one but not the ones that are placed around town. Dont know why the ones in town dont work but they dont. really sucks. but I do reconmend getting a droid so you can craft in town for those sudden oreders.
