Im still trying to fiqure what causes a person to come into a profession forum and do a "What I hate about your class" thread. I dont care that you got this for your holo. Nothing is forcing you to become an uber jedi. And im seriously thinking of becoming a master BH with one of my accounts to hunt all of you hologrinders down. Because by the time your a jedi you will be poor and have pissed everyone off. Then i will go post your jedi name on the forums for others to hunt you down.

Take a hike Warlord. I've met some whiney holo grinders before but you're one of the worst I've heard so far. I'm just gonna laugh so hard if he's already mastered another profession. You see, 4 holocrons give you the ones you need to master. The 5th is a guess, if you master the wrong one you permently lose your FS for that character. Therefore if you have mastered more than 2 professions before you start your holo grind you can bet you have already lost your chance at a slot. A 1 in 28 chance of getting the 5th profession right. Thats around 10 times worse odds than getting dna samples from a Mutant Rancor.

I really don't give a flying **edit** what you think of me and yes I read that piece of garbage sticky post that told me how to make a macro I read it quite carefully and didn't find what I was looking for. I don't want your respect to be completely honest and Ir eally don't care who the hell you may or may not think you are. So whomever pissed in your cherios Tal-N, why don't you take it out on them.
Now please if you have three brain cells try to look at what I posted. You will see that I didn't attack the BE profession at all, it is just something I have to do to go on my way. I was asking for help and experienced advice something you seem incapable of giving. Now little hater go get yourself a new batch of cherios, and while your munching on a new bowl ask yourself why did you bother responding to my post?

nah, j/k. i really am enjoying post patch and all. just made my best pet so far lvl 22 kima with knockdown lol. and i'm actually considering keeping this prof for a while, while i do a few others.
oh btw, warlord did my advice help ya out any?
To answer your question Warlord, there's really no short way around mastering BE. Hopefully you have a combat profession available, because its going to be resource intensive. You could just buy it, of course, if you have sufficient funds. Personally I go to Dantooine and get in a hunting party. Harvest as much meat as you possibly can. Then you can either set up some flora harvesters, or just do what I do and use the cash you earned on Dantooine to buy the necessary flora. Then just mass produce Micronutrient Supplements. I would suggest getting 3 or 4 tool kits so you can do it non stop.
As for Sampling DNA, my suggestion is to just sample newbie area crap until you complete Sampling 2. Yeah the xp value is lower, but your success rates will be much higher than if you were to try sampling higher end stuff. Not to mention aggroing newbie area stuff is about as dangerous as taking a shower in the morning. 
Once you get Sampling 2, its off to Dantooine again. Remember - quenkers and bols are your friends.
Oh, and make sure you keep your speeder nearby. Hehe. 
Let me start out by saying that at release I was a BE. I quit a long time ago not because I didn't enjoy it (in fact it leveled fast) but because SoE had no use for me and that was obvious. I opened a holo and low and behold I have come full circle. So I went back to sampling....made my critter....sampled it... **edit** 15 XP?!?
Right now I am about half way through sampling 2, and whereas before there was meaningful rewards in Xp I am hating the class. I realize that you are probably tired of hearing people whine, I really don't want to be here. I would never degrade your class or say your crazy or all I just want to finish this **edit** holo.
Can someone offer practical advice on how I can get done with this? What should I sample? Exactly what should I craft. These are the kinds of questions that are useful to me (oh and its not that I don't like crafting I have a Master Chef/ Master Armorsmith/ Master Architect alt).
I pity anyone who gets this as a holocron, please help me leave.

finally a 3rd person who has to do this damned profession for a holocron (met the 2nd one last night who by the way was a jedi) sampling is a load of crap. i'm about 4k from being done with sampling 2. for the level we're at i've been sampling bols of any variety and pikets. just stay away from lesser plains bols (only about 150xp). the larger bols and pikets give around 300-350 xp. just have to be wary of being agro'd. they won't db however so you can get right back up if you incap and start sampling again.
crafting wise....there really isn't much to tell ya. creatures don't give much xp to my knowledge. i don't have exacts on it though. i've been grinding out micronutrient supplies in practice mode. 105 xp per. takes a ton and i mean a ton of resources to do it all. each micronutrient takes 15-35 meat and 15-35 flora food depending on what you put in the top left organic slot on the template screen.
hope this helps ya out some. here's to hoping we can leave this prof soon. oh yeah, don't forget to make a little bank while you're at it. i'm going up through the business tree of artisan so i can start selling pets. may be something you want to take a look at. oh and be sure to have some kind of combat skills, i'm using a few pistoleer ones myself
lol... I got BE as my first Holo... I love the profession.. Its pretty fun and not alot of people are BEs... Hell.. I just made a level 73 Kimo and its BADASS!!! I dont know if anyone can use it... but its still cool... lmao...
I started this profession as a Holo BE... Now I love this profession and I will prob. stay one.... I think it could be more fun than I could have as a Jedi right now...
