Awesome addition into the game. I was hoping for something exactly like this and then they go out and actually do it! Very cool. Anyway, has anyone gotten any of the pieces or schematic yet? If so, post here how combining resources works and how stats are calculated (if they are). This is an exciting addition for BE's, can't wait to try it out!

Bah! Im on 56k and it will take me another 5 hours to dl the patch
(oh yeah, I get d/c after every 2h)
Damn I can't wait to get back to uni...
Not sure how much use these will be to us as our resources can be fairly specific, but hey, they can't hurt...

I'd love to be able to combine the small stacks of eggs and milk I have clogging up my inventory. The recycler, if I understand it correctly, is a very cool thing.
Not to mention they took the time some of the long term bugs.
It's a good day.

Before people get too excited about this though, I'm not sure how useful this is going to be for us. I don't know what the final implementation of this was, but I know that the intent was for the "recycled" product to come out with fairly low stats. You're likely not going to be able to, say, distill 2 high quality stack of fish into one high quality stack of fish for example. I think this is going to be of more use for professions where stats don't matter than for us.

Egg, milk, and fish.. A day to rejoice! This addition WAS for the BE's, no doubt about it! The resources just better have stats when they get recycled, that's all I want now. And all the new hide and flora look awesome as decorations. Another great bonus of this patch.

I'd take a couple thousand units of decent egg over 200 units of high quality egg anyday. And I'm sure Tailors will appreciate being about to buy 5 identical crates of myoflex (for cheaper I might add) rather than buying a single expensivecrate. I can't wait to get my hands on the Creature Recycler and start grinding up stuff!

From what I read on the artisan forum. "recycled" resourse stats will be set in stone. The exampe given was combine two stacks of resources say wheat and rice you get an output of "generic" cereal. The generic cereal will not be based on the stats of the combined resource, but will be fixed predefined stats. All generic cereal for the life of the game will be the same.

Remember what a pain finding meat was for grinding up to Master BE? A shame this wasn't around then...
Oh, and of course it's a way to salvage those various 12 quantity meat stacks into something useful for making pets.
Maybe there should be schematics calling for recycled meat, a sort of "whole foods" movement or some such.

well my 2 crafting chars are a be and a shipwright, for my be tihs menas all my part stakcs of meat too small for tissues stims etc can e cimbined into one stakc for making pet,s and the bits too small for pets nac be combined into one stack for making pets..... finaly i cna stop deleating small stacks of meats and get some us efomr thme(jsut need a dman recycler) and as for my sihpwright, well it depends on how these work(but if 5 stakcs of stele result in 1, id bevery very happy given how oftne i end up with part stacks

Llandors,
don't mean to be rude, but could you take the time to read your posts, and put the letters in the right order? The whole "being able to read scrabled words like that" only works if the first and last letters are in the right place, and yours are not.

I'll be glad to be able to combine stacks of eggs even if they turn out to be junk....I have so many stacks of 110 or 78 or you know what I mean.
once I was able to gather 1k of eggs...made my guild tailor friend very happy...now to be able to combine the little staks of junk into bigger stacks of junk

Does anyone have confirmations on what is dropping the schematics and components? So far I haven't heard of anyone looting anything yet.
