I made a great pet today...13k HAM, over 500 dmg, high resists, strong disease, dizzy, ranged, etc.

only one problem...it came out to CL 76
Knew i should have put less points into the experimentation.

anyway, anyone know if i can actually resample this pet or if i will just fail until it goes "poof!" from my inventory?

Thanks...

I've never had luck sampling a pet over 75. Never had one poof on me, not sure if it would or not.

i think they only poof when you get something out of em, might as well give it a shot as its useless as anything but decoration anyway, nothing to lose, except your time =)

They can poof if you fail. It makes me want to smash things.

it's a nice pet and i probably speant 10+ hrs working on gathering the DNA for it, so i'm tempted to put it up by my Vendor for show.

Walker, have you ever had one poof on you w/o a single sample? if noone has had one go poof w/o a sample i may sample it and see if i can get a sample out of it at all, but if i'm just going to lose hours of hard work i think it'll just go on display

I've lost many, over a dozen and probably closer to 30, due to a failed sample and not having a success.

Yes they can poof without getting a sample and this one will if you try to sample it. It's a monument to your great BEing and shall ever remain that way unless our cap gets raised

The stupid part is that you can't fail on a wild creature and kill it. You are guaranteed at least one sample. Yet on a 'confined and controlled' clone version of a creature, you can sample it, fail, and kill the creature.

This is an awesome profession, but my God, some of the stuff theythought up is just retarded.

Don't forget the theoretical cap is cl75.

The fact u have a cl76 pet means, that even if it does go poof, u will be doingresearch for the BE community.

If you can get a sample off a cl76, the theoretical max of cl75 is not true. Of course, in poofing, it would not prove or disprove

...ont he other hand, It would also be a shame to kill a cool, but useless pet.
