Thread: ARGH
I just withdrew the sales on about 10 dresses because a customer wanted me to model them.. they aren't in the stockroom!!!
Please tell me this isn't some sort of bug where they STAY gone and they will be there later when I relog!
You are not alone! In fact I share your pain. I lost 80 items to the same vendor stockroom problem this past week.
I also had my entire stock (about 25k) of very high quality, high recay resistfiberplast, steel, gemstone, 8 crates of clothand 1.5k of EalaNabooian Scaley hides go poof from my inventory as I was transporting them. It took me quite a few months to gather all of those high quality materials and they were irreplaceable since most of the resources weren't available anymore. That was more devistating than losing the 80 items in my vendor. I filled out a CSR ticket and actually got a fast response from a rep in game, he replaced all my lost resources (they can't replace lost crates and clothing). But be warned, they only replace your lost items once. So I would only advise filling out a ticket if you've really had a BIG loss that you can't replace.
Moral of this story: Never transport all of your best resources at once, as the servers seem to be very gassy as of late.
I don't know if this is exactly what's happened to you, but....
My husband plays a weaponsmith on Chilastra. He had about 130K of weapons in his stockroom that went poof. Later, a 50K crate of weapons disappeared from his vendor. Naturally he filed a report. CSR came and talked to him last night. CSR initially offered him $130K for the missing weapons. When he brought up the missing crate, the CSR told him they only reimburse for the first loss. Husband asks why, CSR says it's a known issue. Husband asks him known by whom? He didn't know, and exactly what is the issue? CSR says something vague about items disappearing from storerooms and vendors, eventually offers Husband 45K of resources, but actually turns over only 40K before disappearing.
What my honey got from the conversation was this: If you leave things in the stockroom for an indeterminate amount of time (can be 1-10 days), there's a chance they'll just disappear, never to be seen again. This is most likely to happen when you have a lot of items (the CSR was unable to place a numeric value on "a lot", although Honey got the impression that it meant "greater than 200") in your vendor. So, for example, if most of your inventory times out at the same time and you're not around to move them from the stockroom to the vendor, they might go poof. The CSR mentioned that it had to do with "inadequate manipulation of objects in the storeroom", although that was never really defined either.
It was pretty frustrating, but now he's developing a system where he rotates items out of his vendor before they time out and also scaling back on the number of items in his vendor. Maybe it'll help, maybe it won't. He always prided himself on having a wide variety of weapons in stock but now he's paranoid about it.
I'd say file a report if they don't show up after the server reboot in the morning. Maybe you'll have better luck than he did.
whew, ok I logged totally out of the game and came back in and they were there.
How annoying.
Ok so now I'm getting emails for items on my vendor that didn't sell, but the items are nowhere to be seen!!
God this game is getting on my nerves!
1.Standing
2.Mask Scent is on
3.10-15 Meters from Target
4.Standing Behind Target
5.Wait for Expressions to clear
6.Keep an eye on your inventory
7.If haveing multi-fails on one creature switch to another then go back to the first.
And on heavy duety stuff add:
1.Get mask Scent +25 clothes
2.Wear them
3.Get Jawa Beer 10+ (not sure if can do better, but this has worked just fine for me.)
4.Have scount skills that are CH pre-requisites
5.crawl instead of walk for MR's for stuff like MH just use the shift key and keep yourself from running at initial approach.
6.Look at HAM, on things like MR's if they have the 14k HAM you may want to do this guy last seems harder to sample and more likely to agro, so dealing with one agro instead of the pack is always better.
7.Never go home with just the amount of MR DNA you need, you will probably Critical fail, and then you are stuck.
On a side note Gnorts seem to be overly difficult to sample even for MBE's I hear. I have never sampled one that I can recall.
